Conversion Display
- This type does not have a check valve (non-return valve). First, connect it to the device side, and then connect it to the gas tank. If connected in the reverse order, gas will leak. It can be used regardless of the length of the valve on your device.

CGA 600 connection propane appliances
Note: Propane outdoor gas, which has a higher calorific value compared to standard butane or isobutane products. Therefore, using butane cans filled with butane or isobutane will result in a lower flame temperature compared to the usual performance. Please be aware of this limitation.

This product (Campingmoon Z19) is an adapter that connects to a nominally 8-ounce (250g) butane tall cylinder (also referred to as a butane cartridge, cassette, or canister). This connector is inserted into the top of the tall cylinder’s outlet port and is secured to the cylinder with a slight twist. This adapter then provides the connection point for various propane appliances via its CGA 600 connector (a 1” X @ 20 threaded connection also called a Throwaway Connection) like that found on the one-pound, often disposable, propane cylinders. This adapter thus allows for appliances that are normally supplied with propane gas to utilize butane gas instead, assuming that the pressure differences can be accommodated by the attached appliance.I ordered this product so that I could use several small propane appliances that I have with butane cylinders in an emergency situation. Specifically, I wanted to be able to fuel a small propane grill and a single burner propane stove with butane gas.Special Note: This adapter does not include a check valve in its design and as such, once the adapter is installed to the tall butane cylinder, butane gas will be allowed to freely flow. Consequently, the other connections necessary to contain and utilize the butane gas must be made before the adapter is attached to the butane cylinder to prevent the unnecessary loss of butane gas.This product is made from an aluminum alloy (for the CGA 600 propane interface), a zinc alloy (for the butane cylinder connection), and nylon (for the injection molded nylon locking ring for the butane cylinder interface). The machining on the CGA 600 propane interface is amazing. The square cut knurling included in the CGA 600 propane interface is precisely executed and it provides excellent purchase for tightening or loosening the adapter from the tall butane cylinder. The finish of the aluminum is impeccable. The zinc alloy is casted and then secured to the CGA 600 interface with machine screws. The nylon locking ring is well made with no flashing noted.As with every Campingmoon product I have ever purchased, this product is of superior quality and perfect function. The manufacturer of the product has left no defects in the design or manufacture of the product; it simply works perfectly and is of obviously of very high quality.I used this product to connect a propane fueled kitchen torch to a butane cylinder. I choose a butane cylinder that contains no odorant chemical (Ethyl Mercaptan) so as not to impart any strange tastes to the food that was browned by the torch. The adapter worked perfectly and it was much easier to hold with the tall butane cylinder than it normally is using the one-pound propane cylinder. I may have to order another copy of this product.
