Packaging was adequate, the solar lamp arrived undamaged and in working order.Assembly/Installation was a snap. Pop out the solar charger/light, peel off the protective plastic film, slide the switch to turn it on then pop the light back into the lantern. all that's left then is to squeeze the ends of the handles into the mounting brackets located on top of the lantern. That's it.Appearance is good, although just your typical 7" x 4" lantern. It attractive even in daylight, but at night it really shines. The LED really lights up the chicken pattern. The pattern will project nicely on to flat, solid surfaces like concrete, a deck or a patio but won't really be clear in grass. This includes the pattern cast straight down through the bottom of the lantern if it's hung on a small shepherd hook. The projected design tends to blur if more than three feet or so from the lantern so I wouldn't recommend putting this on a 60 inch hook or hanging it in a tree if the projected pattern is your main goal.Functionality is good. It charges by day and when dark enough in the evening it comes on and stays lit for a good 7 or 8 hours. It's a great decorative accent light, adding a warm glow to a table or sitting area. It's not a security light or porch light so don't be expecting to light up the yard with it.Quality is average, the lantern is the same thin metal typical of almost all similar products. Given its relatively standard shape and size, and lack of lighting options, I'd say it's a bit overpriced at $25.Overall I'd recommend this lantern if you're just looking for something decorative as an unusual gift for the backyard chicken farmer.

Its funny. Its a conversation piece. Word of advise---take the solar disk off the top of the lantern and turn it ON---the ON button is under the top. Geez, I thought my lantern was defective, but no, its not! Turns out it was operator error ;) oops :D

This Bigfoot lantern is really unique and impressive it's even better than the pictures mine arrived working right out of the box all I had to do was turn it on the light is really bright and a lot of the light shines through the lanterns design I have a few lanterns and this is one of the coolest lanterns I've seen it's a nice size I'd consider it to be medium but it is bigger then most of my other lanterns it's lightweight but not to light that it's going to blow away in the wind the details of Bigfoot the trees and background show up all around wherever you put it you can hang it up set it on a table or on the ground you'll be surrounded and have a Bigfoot encounter this would be a great gift for anyone who's a Bigfoot fan or collector or just a conversation piece I definitely recommend it

This yeti lantern is so cute and the pattern it casts is just lovely. Even the husband liked it and he normally doesn't take much notice of things like this. It was charged and worked great right out of the box and the light stays on from dusk to dawn. The yeti is carrying a 6 pk of beer, too fuuny and something I didn't notice when ordering. Overall, very happy with this little copper colored yeti lantern. We use it at home when we're outside but do bring it indoors when we come inside and leave it on in the foyer for a little extra light by the door. The price is comparable with other lanters on the market with the same design.

These lanterns serve an essential purpose, as they are positioned on two sides of a flood control trench. Under pitch dark conditions, inebriated individuals are simultaneously amused as well as diverted from suffering falling ditch injuries. They are located where only a self-powered device is practical.

Lamp is attractive and the metal construction should enjoy a long lifetime of UV, hot and cold. The light is a little dim and for localized accent light, but not enough to illuminate anything. The display pattern is distinct and very cool on hardscapes but not clearly visible on lawn, bark dust, etc.The photovoltaic is good and recharges the battery each day for 6-8 hours of display after dark. Here in the Pacific Northwest that means from around 8pm to 2am-4-am which is plenty for us. Nobody around to look at it pat then!We hung ours using short (32in) shepherd hooks at the edge of a stamped concrete pathway. They overhang enough so that almost the entire pattern is clearly visible on the pathway. They are also short enough, so the displayed pattern is sharp. Much further off the ground and the pattern becomes blurred.Anyway, very cute and cool landscape accent lighting.

This lantern lights up well and casts adorable chicken shadows. It's the perfect gift for anyone who loves chickens and would be very cute hanging up near a chicken coop.
