Excellent mid-size case for DIY computer builder. When operating, it is so quiet you would not even know that the computer is energized.

I just finished building this system a few days ago, and I have almost nothing negative to say about the case. I got this particular case because I wanted one capable of installing two optical drives, which most cases no longer allow for. I'm sorry, but everything can't be streamed! My other purpose for the drives is a huge amount of LP ripping and family 8mm video transfers/edits, which I will burn to discs for family members.Working with this case was a breeze. It comes with a pretty thorough manual and all the screws/parts needed for a basic ATX build. There's room for more 2.5" drives than I can imagine ever needing, and a few 3.5" drives as well. The case comes with two fans pre-installed, one in the rear and one in front. I installed one additional fan in the front, and two up top. If you didn't want to do optical drives, you could put one more fan in the front for a total of three, and the top frame will accept a liquid cooling fan assembly if you want to do that. My build is currently running very cool with the 5-fan arrangement, with good airflow. The front of the case allows air in on the sides of the front panel, out through the back, and the top panel is either completely removable with a screen for protection, or the top panel can be popped up in two increments to allow a perimeter gap for air escape (this is how I set it up). When building my system, everything fit exactly as it should. All screw locations are spot-on, power supply slipped in effortlessly, ATX motherboard fit perfectly, PCI cards, drives, everything! One thing I didn't go for was lighting, which this case is not really designed for. It has solid sides and front panel. There is ample room for cable routing, even if you stuff it full of drives. Note that there are three 3.5/2.5 drive mounts provided (and room for two more if needed), but I only used two for now.My one and only complaint is that I wish they would revisit the way the top panel tabs work to set the panel at two different levels for air opening. They do work, but it is too easy to accidently touch the top panel and pop it back down to a closed condition. It's a very delicate process to get it right, and I have had to place pads around the perimeter to keep the panel in place and prevent it from pushing back down to a closed position. All in all, a great case that I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

I bought this PC Tower for a home build system, or should I say rebuild as I wanted a roomier case to move my current set-up into and this item absolutely fit the bill! I have a full size ATX board, a reasonably large GPU, a big CPU cooler and a non-modular PSU which in my existing case were shoe-horned in. Severely obstructing and reducing airflow. NO LONGER! The be quiet! Pure Base 600 allowed me to transfer everything easily and with room to spare. The Build quality of the be quiet! Pure Base 600 is excellent! The steel case is sturdy and both side panels fit flush to the body. There are mesh panels covering the fan mounts and all the standard (On/Off, Audio I/O 3.5mm, reset, 2x USB 3.0 and activity light) front panel connections work. it comes with 2 large pre-installed fans and room for several more to be added. Both side panels are sound proofed which effectively muffles fan noise. It is modular inside so the both HDD and ODD carriers can be removed or moved as required should you require space for a water-cooling option. I am still using Optical Drives which many cases these days no longer have the front 5.25" bays that they require and this case has 2! There is neat full depth raised roof on the case that can be opened to 3 positions increasing airflow, which naturally allows more sound to escape but if you are using silent fans it is hardly noticeable. The base stands on 4 feet giving it clearance for more airflow. In conclusion: The be quiet! Pure Base 600 for the price gives a real bang-for-the-buck option if you want a "basic" case which ticks all the right boxes. It has no no fancy see-through side panel or LED lighting, nor the overly sculptured design of cases aimed at gaming. It is simply a large totally black box and perfect for my requirements. I took my time looking at various cases before purchasing the be quiet! Pure Base 600 case and am delighted that my choice was perfect!

Overall I'm pleased. It fits the gigabyte aolus ultra motherboard with a noctua NH-U14S. It is quiet even with a total of eight fans running (three front, one back, two CPU, one chipset, one power supply), and the damping material on the case sides seems to be at least somewhat effective. I like the just plain black case with no place for multi-color LEDs. The power button is centrally located on the top front bezel and is easy to get to, and the reset button is small and unlikely to press accidentally. The tall feet on the bottom are a good idea especially if you mount the power supply to use the bottom vent. (I know other reviews complain about a motherboard standoff without the thread hole, and mine had that too, but I think it's intentional and not considered a mistake.)Unfortunately, there were a few downsides. The thumbscrews are cheap, and on my unit screw arrived slightly bending the thin steel it was screwed into. At this price point I expected quality screws throughout, engaged with standoffs or bushings. All the screw are cheap, inside and out. They thread into tapped holes in thin metal. I expect these to cross-thread and strip out easily, even handled with care.Cleaning the filter in the front panel is going to be inconvenient, because I can't pop the front panel off to get at the captive air filters without taking off the side panels to release the front panel tabs. I prefer cases where the front panel can be popped off without taking the case apart. It comes with three drive trays, and five slots to hold those trays, and no one has the extra be quiet HDD cage in stock. The 2.5" cages on the back of the motherboard tray are jokes. I'm not sure what drives they would actually fit. Maybe the 5mm ultra thin drives? The 7mm drive I tried certainly wouldn't fit at all. In any case, there is no effective air flow in that location behind the motherboard tray anyway, so I would consider those cages to be there only for show. The USB 3 slots in the front are not color-coded blue, and I wish they were. There is no USB-C connector on the front, nor any convenient way to add one. It would be nice to have a USB-C 3.1 connector with a type-e connector on the other end to work with modern motherboards. If you want that installed nicely in the front, you'll probably want to use a 5.25" drive bay adapter, in which case you can't have a fan mounted in front of the 5.25 drive bay.It looks as if you could fit 3 of the be quiet Pure Wings 2 140mm fans in the front, there are references to being able to add fans, and I thought somewhere I had seen a reference to placing three of them in front, but you can't actually fit three. It comes with one in the middle, which you could move to the top or bottom of the front, or you can have one fan at the top and one fan at the bottom, but you can't have three covering the front. I bought two extra Pure Wings 2 140mm fans, and then discovered that only one of the two extra would fit. I solved this by putting the third fan in the middle, but inside the case closer to the hard drive cages, and used four M4x60 bolts through the middle-most mounting holes in the upper and lower fans, through the mounting holes in the case, and then through the mounting holes in the inner, middle fan. Also, the fan switch on the front can control three fans. It comes connected to the 120mm fan in the back and the 140mm fan in the front, and there is one extra header for a second fan in the front. I have connected all three 140mm fans to the motherboard instead, and have the fan control switch connected only to the fan in the back.

I was surprised to see this case at a steal deal rate. I already have a Magforge 100r and needed a new case to replace my DIY PC case for the file server. PROs - very Quiet even in a silent room, 140mm fans are the quietest, fan speed control, spacious with ample cable Management.CONs - screws on side panels are not the best. Stand offs too of similar quality but passable for the price. Ssd trays are very tight to fit a standard sized SSD rendering them almost useless.Overall the cons did nt deter me from giving 5 stars considering the budget and other products on similar price range.
