Although Zalman is a reputable brand among PC case manufacturers, this mini-gaming tower called "Zalman FIT" is a disappointment. This is obviously a very entry-level product, but as we're moving into the second half of 2025, even an entry-level case should be offering much better features than this one. The only novelty in the case is the side glass panel, which swings to open similar to a closet door. Otherwise, the top panel only offers a single USB 3.0 connector, the PSU space is very minimal, and you won't be able to build anything resembling a top-of-the line computer within this box. For a couple more bucks, you can get a different brand with better features. Not recommended.

As someone who’s been building PCs since the days of 5¼” floppy drives and DIP socketed memory chips, I remember when Zalman came on the scene in the early aughts with their radial copper finned CPU coolers that looked like nothing else on the market at the time – I had one from my Socket 754 days and still have one for the LGA775/115x era. I’ve used multiple Zalman cases over the years too, which were purchased for one big reason: value. They weren't the best, but they offered style and enough positives to justify the few extra bucks over the absolute lowest priced products.I feel that the same mantra of value has remained with this Fit case too. A hinged tempered glass panel, full PSU basement shroud, and four 120mm ARGB fans are some of the big plusses. As a tradeoff, the steel is of a lighter gauge, there's no USB-C port and only a single USB 3.0 (3.1 gen 1) up top, a 160mm maximum CPU cooler height, one-time use slot covers, and that the four aforementioned fans are not PWM; they are fixed RPM fans piggybacked off the rear exhaust fan and powered by a SATA power connector. Such doesn’t take away from the ability to fit a standard ATX board in this case or fitting a 360mm radiator up front, albeit such would be at the expense of maximum GPU length and that the two drive cage underneath will have to go. Note that this is not designed to fit 140mm fans nor a 240mm radiator at the top. Though the front panel is meshed, there’s a fair bit of obstruction with the overlay. There’s about 21mm of space for cable management on the backside. If one is building a higher spec PC, I wouldn’t suggest this one due to the front intake airflow obstructions. For budget to lower mid-range builds, or builds without a dedicated GPU, this is a very valid option. Money saved on less critical aspects like the Zalman case here (that includes fans) can be put to better use towards more memory, more storage, or even a faster CPU.

I think this case is an amazing value for an entry level build. It’s perfect for mid range components and the airflow is very nice thanks to the four pre-installed ARGB fans and the perforated front panel. I used it to rebuild my Plex server setup and was able to fit a 2080 Ti without any issues. That said, the card I used is one of the smaller variants, so if you’re thinking about installing a newer 50 series GPU, you may run into clearance problems. For this type of chassis though, you’re probably not aiming for a maxed-out build anyway. What I really like is the swing case glass. It’s a thoughtful touch that makes dusting quick and painless. The overall layout is solid, with support for ATX, mATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards, and there’s room for a front-mounted 360mm radiator which is nice if you want to improve cooling even more. USB 3.0 on the front panel is also a welcome addition for faster data transfer, but it would be nice to have more USB 3.0 ports instead of USB 2.0.Just make sure to do your measurements and keep expectations in check. If you do, you’ll probably really like this case for the price. It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done in a stylish and efficient way. Solid 4 out of 5!

While the space was limited for my original project planned, rebuilding my FX 8350 system, I think I'll rebuild my 6700K system, with the Hyper 212 Evo tower cooler, or old Roidy cooler (Intel TS-15a), there will be no space issues. Even though I looked to see the fane spaces on the top of the case, the space between the top and the board isn't there, maybe enough for fans alone! They didn't say that there was enough room for a top mounted 240mm AIO, so I can't fault that! You will do great building in this case, there isn't a sharp edge anywhere with the case, the sharpest edges are the fan blades! Even my much more expensive 5000x case isn't 100% without an edge, but you have a hard time finding on here! there's room for cable management on back and below in the basement which is great. It's very lightweight, The AIO I tried staging into the case is heavier! Right now I have 1 system to fix, and another to add a new 24 pin extension cable to, so rethinking this case build will take time. This case isn't huge! you will need to plan the build thoroughly! The board in the picture is an ATX, so there is room. the space around the board is what needs to be planed. This is a nice, compact case the size of a case that are normally limited to mATX, and this limitation is what sucks about my daughter's case. having this extra space for the motherboard, is great! Coming with 4 fans and a controller installed is a great bonus for budget building. This is a nice, low priced case with many added bonuses and features, from Zalman, a company that has been around for a very long time, making some of the coolest looking CPU coolers! it's nice to see their name again!Given the nature and sizes of personal pc builds, and component sizes, there is no one size fits all use box 15243 for items on this shelf, and just because I didn't get my first idea build to work out, there are countless other builds that will, just keep your expectations contained to its size, it doesn't have extra empty space, and that is a great thing considering it can still hold an ATX board!I'll edit this if needed once I do a full build. but, I can't wait to finish a build, this is a cool little case!
