Works good. The reason for only 4 star is this radio is the older model and batterries and parts are no longer available .I know because Ive checked with many sellers and the manufacture. A bit pricey when parts are no longer available. It will turn into a paper weight once the battery no longer will take a charge. Other than that Im happy with purchase.

Safety is a huge part of the backcountry and when it’s possible to get separated from the guys I like knowing my BCA radio keeps me connected. The battery lasts all day, it’s lightweight and can handle a beating in my pack. Highly recommend this radio.

A must have. Bought 2 of these incase I ever ride with someone that don't have one. Everyone in my group has them and they are amazing little radios. Great range and very durable.

These work great! I have been sledding with them in the mountians a few times now. The range is awesome and very clear to hear. The battery charge lasts me 2 days before having to charge it. Very pleased with them and would recommend to anyone!

Works as intended. For a low powered unit, it works really well. We pick up some static in the trees or if around a couple of corners but nothing that isn't expected. The battery life is amazing right out of the box. Have been using them for a few hours a day in a four day period without needing a recharge since new. I haven't been able to get the WX channels to work (out of the box). I personally only monitor the channel my partner is on so that part doesn't bother me.

Works very well most of the time, voices are clear, range is good, battery life is great. Speaker became very quiet on one occasion, rendering it nearly useless. I think the cause was ice build up, as it worked fine the next day. However, this is exactly the type of weather in which I would need communication to work the most, which is why I deducted 1 star. It's still the best 2 way radio on the market that I've found.
