Definitely a good idea and intended for repairing underwires from sticking out near the armpit. I needed it for the area at the center of the bra, so they didn't fit that area well. I was able to finagle it to fit, however, I wasn't sure how well they would stick while wearing and after being washed. When worn, they were able to keep the underwire in place without needing adjustment 80% of the time. However, my suspicions were correct about the adhesive during/after being washed. The adhesive did not hold up and the underwire was able to poke out. Would like to see the glue basically become permanent to fabrics and remain unmoved, but that was not the case.

I have tried a couple of these. I love the idea but the glue on none I have tried so far, by any brand can last through one delicate wash in my HE machine. He's are know for their extra gentile agitation, so this is really bad. Back to repairing my bras by sewing a patch to them. If a manufacture would make something that would last through a wash cycle these would be amazing.I cannot describe my disappointment with these enough.

Though thick, these little patches are actually surprisingly effective at what they do. I've had a bra with an underwire that kept working its way out, and I couldn't be bothered to sew it. With these patches, I was able to fold one over the top where the hole was, and the underwire has not worked itself free in several months. It's survived many washings (delicate cycle, but not bagged, and air-dried), and I was even able to reposition it after the first wash and it still has clung on well. While wearing it, I don't feel a thing.That being said, these are NOT discreet patches, and they stand out quite obviously, so not necessarily a good fix for a cute or fancy item. For everyday workhorses, though, they're a quick way to keep going.

These are great. I have previously used moleskin, from the drugstore, to try and repair errant underwires with mixed results. These are much better. They have withstood the dreaded washing machine on at least three different occasions. They cover the underwire with enough padding to make the bra wearable and extend its very expensive life-cycle. Now if they could only invent a way to keep the wires inside the bra in the first place, we'd all be much happier and financially stable!

I have one bra that I absolutely love, but the underwire kept poking through. I tried sewing the spot where it was coming out closed to no avail. Then I saw these. They're easy to put on, stay on even after washing, and I haven't had a problem with the underwire stabbing me anymore. I highly recommend these.

I'll be putting these in my travel kit. Nothing is worse than having a wire poke through and stab you and you don't have a spare bra to wear in its place. When at home I fix the poking wires with my sewing machine. If a bra fails when I'm not at home I have to continually push the wire back into its pocket. That'll never happen again as long as one of these is in my travel kit. I can't say how well they stay in place for the long term because I only use them until I get home and then I fix the wire permanently.

I wear underwire bras exclusively, and yeah, if you know you know. The wires start poking out and it feels like medieval torture, and I throw away an otherwise perfectly good bra.I had no idea these strips existed! They’re small and thin enough to not feel intrusive, meaning my bra doesn’t fit/feel differently except no poking of a wire into my chest. I’m not sure how long the patches last. I’m using them to get by with my old pokey bra until I can afford new ones. These are a blessing in the meantime!!
