Great spring steal. Used for a corset. I cut to the length I needed and wrapped ends with white duck tape. Worked perfect.

I needed a length of thin, medium spring steel to make a hoop that would keep the top of a plastic canvas rain barrel open. Nothing strenuous. This product seems nicely made, but its spring strength is far too weak. I can't imagine it working for a hoop skirt, and I'm not sure what it would be useful for, although I'm sure there's something.If you wind it around, say, your hand, it bends easily enough, and then returns to nearly straight when you release it, but not with any substantial force. It's not like a piece of wire that, when bent, holds that shape. But it's not very springy, either. The description was awfully vague, and the Questions section led me to believe it would be quite stiff, but it's hard to fault the seller for what customers have said.
