- The A4988 is a complete micro step motor driver with built-in converter for easy operation.
- The product can operate bipolar stepping motor in full, half, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 step modes, and the output drive performance can reach 35V and 2A.
- A4988 includes a fixed off time current regulator, which can operate in slow or mixed attenuation mode.
- The converter is the key to the easy implementation of the A4988. As long as a pulse is input into the Step input, the motor can be driven to generate micro steps. No phase sequence table, high frequency control line or complex interface programming is required.
- The A4988 interface is ideal for applications where complex microprocessors are unavailable or overloaded.
- The chopper control in the A4988 automatically selects the current decay mode (slow or mixed) during micro step operation.
- The A4988 comes in a surface-mounted QFN package (ES) with an exposed cooling panel for enhanced heat dissipation. The package is lead-free (suffix -T) with 100 percent fog-tin plated pin frame.
