About this item

  • Attracts Hummingbirds & Butterfly's :) 3 LIVE ROOTS WILL COVER 200 FT OF FENCE IN ABOUT 6 MONTHS! (depending on conditions) As the plant reproduces enjoy easily cultivating hundreds of these plants in just a few years. Imagine your fence line alive with vibrate flowers that also give you privacy
  • DO NOT USE POTTING OR GARDEN SOIL. The best way to get your clippings to root. Once you receive them put them in water, then dip the wet side in rooting solution or hormone, or use a rooting gel without water. We use Clonex . Then place them in sterile soil (like bagged top soil) and place them under low light (LED grow lights work best) if not place outside where they will get about 2 hours of light a day.
  • For cold or dry climates use a humidity dome. (A clear 2 liter cut in half to hold in humidity) and perhaps a heating pad but careful not to overheat! Always keep soil moist but drained and in under 30 days you will have rooted and sprouted plants
  • Propagating trumpet vine cuttings can be done any time of year, as the vines root readily. However, starting trumpet vine cuttings tends to be most effective in spring when stems are tender and flexible. Prepare a planting container ahead of time.
  • Growing Instructions included with order

Clusters of trumpet-shaped flowers appear during the summer months and reach around 1 to 3 inches long before giving way to bean-like seed capsules. Trumpet vines are best planted in the spring or early fall.

I literally received 3 sticks wrapped in damp paper towels and was told how to propagate them. They did not grow and I requested a refund and they would only send me a replacement which I never got nor any other correspondence! Don’t buy! What a joke! Very disappointed!!!

This came as a root which was fine, but it had a ton of directions to reroot before actually planting. It never made the cut and died. Big waste of money. I suggest for plants like this you go to your garden center and get plants already established. Amazon is not the place for something like this.

So, I did get 4 sticks, bundled in a dry paper towel. A bit disappointing, however, I knew at least 1 was viable. I did not read the instructions, instead I got excited and put them in fertile ground, and due to a few days of storms, I do have growth. I am happy with my purchase, since nothing has grown in that area until now. If only 1 grows, I may order more, but if I get 2 I will be very happy! All died!!!!

I am not sure I got the right product for $35.00. It is supposed to be a Trumpet Vine. I was very surprised at what I got verses the cash I paid. I have never seen one with thorn like nubs on it. A lot of money for this product.

Worst 35 dollars I have ever spent. What a waste. They were completely dead. I basically spent $35 on three little sticks. I threw them out and they will not refund.

I am a bit new to this, and I had no idea the clippings could actually keep growing. I've had them a month now and that are still green and I have seen a few sprout new leaves. They haven't grown much though, but it will be exciting when they do.
