I am so glad I ordered these. They are even more beautiful in person. The embossed and painted glass solar lanterns fit inside the metal cutwork housing. When the light shines through the glass, it shows up like a watercolor hummingbird painting behind an ornate screen–just lovely! The metal lanterns have a beautiful antiqued bronze finish, and include handles and hanging hooks. They charge during the day when the sun is out, and then come on automatically at night. I just love to sit outside in the evening and wait for them to come on when it gets dark enough. It is such a calming end to the day.

These are so pretty both during the day and at night and would make a great gift. They can either be hung up or placed on a table. The solar aspect is working well -- I have them inside on a windowsill in a south-facing window, and they collect enough power right there to last all night and still have power in the morning.
