Full disclosure I am not a pro but am tech savvy enough that I figured I could try to replace the battery on an old phone. This kit mentions a video yet couldn't find any other reference so I just looked up how to videos. The tools this came with were ok but not great. The tweezers are so flimsy they won't pick anything up. The instructions don't make a lot of sense and don't even reference all of the things it came with. Luckily the video did. I was able to fully install the battery however when I got everything connected and was putting the screws in the cover plate got so hot I couldn't touch it. The only way it cools off is if I disconnect the battery. I know it's normal for things to warm up but this was so hot it would burn me. I do not feel comfortable proceeding with this battery and will have to replace it with something else.

My 7 was at 71% battery health and I could watch the charge percentage drop as it was being used. It is no longer my primary phone, but I still use it often enough that keeping it charged was a chore. I've done a couple iPhone battery replacements now and while initially a daunting task, it is now relatively painless. I would definitely recommend a magnetic mat to keep all the small screws and pieces from getting lost and out of order. And something to gently warm the front glass adhesive helps as well. Otherwise, everything you need for replacement is included. The hardest part is getting the old battery adhesive off. Also, I do not believe the advertised capacity rating of this battery at all, as it is almost 10x what the original battery was rated. That being said, it lasts much longer than the old battery and I do not need to check if my phone has died even while being powered off. So far, so good. I can no longer see the battery health, but that is to be expected with an aftermarket battery. For the money, I have no complaints.

Got this for a friend whose battery was barely making it through half a day. He used the included tools to replace it himself over the weekend. The kit came with everything needed, and he said the instructions were pretty straightforward if you take your time. The battery itself looked solid, and it fit without any issues. No weird smells or swelling, and it powered on right away after installation. He’s been using it for a couple of weeks now, just charging like normal. So far, no overheating or strange behavior. Opening the phone took a bit of patience that not hard, but not something to rush. Once it was in, though, everything worked like it should.
