If you grind the pins first it works very easily. No more punch and hammer to break a chain.

For the price you can't beat it...I work on a lot of 100 and 20B chain for escalators....This big chain break will save me a lot of taking the chain back off after marking it taken it outside and grinding it then bring it back in the building. For a size reference the picture with the 2 chain breaks is this one and a 60 - 100

My sister had purchased this item it was meant to be a Christmas gift. The box was damaged, the tool was used, damaged, and dirty. Now rather then wrapping a gift she’s dealing with a return.

After 6 months of this thing riding around in the service truck, finally had to use it. Broke the 100hd chain with no problems. A hell of a lot easier than a hammer and punch. Had the chipper back up and making boiler fuel in 20 minutes. A perfect addition for any tool collector.

I was really hesitant to buy something like this without a review. I took a chance and it works great. Better than expected. Broke 160 chain the was seized up, no problem. Nice because you can save your inner link with no damage.
