It just happens that I use a lot of 3/16 cable, so I was thrilled when I got these cable clamps. In the past I've always used galvanized clams and didn't know they existed in stainless steel. The galvanized clamps bolts are zinc plated and eventually rust. Since these are stainless steel, I don't have to worry about that happening to these. They are very well made and it's nice that the kit includes everything you need to do a proper job. I used these to make a grape arbor for my Scuppernong grape vine I just planted. They functioned just as they should and were easy to install. Since I have such a dislike for rust, these make me very happy. Also, you get so many in this kit, and they are stainless steel, this is a very good value for the money.

I’ve only recently started utilizing kits such as the one being offered by Yinpecly to support various poles in my yard, such as a flagpole and windmill. And while they could probably stand on their own, I like the added security of supporting them with wire ropes. I realize that this was probably not their intended purpose, but it works.Looking all of the pieces of the kit over showed nothing to be concerned about. There were no sharp edges to poke you, and the finish looks uniform. The nuts (8mm) screwed on the cable clamps easily.To properly press the crimps, you will need a crimper designed for 3/16 wire rope. If you have one that’s great, but if you don't, then I would just go by the rule of common since. If you're using the wire rope as part of a decorative fence, then using the crimps alone will suffice. If you're using the wire rope in a strength bearing application, then the addition of the two bolt clamps is recommended.I only installed the clamps a week ago, so I can’t say anything in respect to how well they will hold up to the elements, but being stainless certainly helps. In all, a nice kit of what is needed to get you going and priced lower than what I can purchase locally. The proper crimping tool might be an added cost, yet it might be worth it if you're doing a lot of this type of work.

Solid 4.5 stars. The quality of these stainless steel components is excellent, especially for the price. Everything feels sturdy and well-made, and the set includes everything you need for 1/4" wire setups—clips, thimbles, and crimping loops. I used them for a railing and tent rope project, and they worked perfectly. Very happy with this find and would definitely buy again for future builds.

This kind of hardware manufactured offshore is always a roll of the dice until it's in hand. Sometimes lightweight, cheesy, doesn't work properly or on the other hand like this product well-made, heavy duty and works as intended. Gets my five-star vote.
