This litter box is perhaps as perfect as they come. I've been a big fan of stainless steel litter boxes ever since I first tried one a year or two ago and replaced all my plastic ones with them. But all the ones I've ordered so far have been the same, modest size. My cats all use them without a problem, but sometimes I have to scoop at an odd angle. And with that many cats (5), I have to scoop all day long.This one, by contrast, is very large, and with five cats, I needed more space for them, at least in one or two of my five litter boxes. It takes about 2/3 of a 17 lb box of lightweight cat litter (major brand), but the cats are flocking to the box, and it's less work for me to keep it scooped, and I'm not dealing with the odd angles that caused me elbow strain from the repetitive motion.What's more, this is as versatile as litter boxes come. I personally love covered boxes and used them for years until I got a cat with litter box issues and was advised to take off the covers. So for all the years I've had her, I've made sure there's no cover on the litter boxes, lest she decide to pee on the bed in protest. (I do use the kind with extended sides.) So this box gives you both options. There's a cover that attaches to the extended sides, but you don't have to use it, and indeed I've been using just the extended sides. But once she's gone (she's an old lady now), I could decide to start using the cover, which really helps with litter scattering.It comes with a decent quality scoop that I've been using, and it hooks onto the side of the box. It also has a freestanding step that you can place in front to help the kitties get into the box, if they need it, and catch some of the litter as they exit.All in all, this is a great option, IMO, and I highly recommend it, especially in multi-cat households.

This litter box is very well made out of stainless steel and it is HUGE. ALL of my pets just love it! 2 Shibu Inus and 2 cats, all took to it on the first day it was put up, which is unusual for them. It can be used without the top for timid cats and features. It comes with an adjustable paw stand and a cleaning tool. Good product.
