Purchased/ installed these on a amateur radio GoBox… a rugged waterproof ‘suitcase’ that has a ham radio, mic, battery, coiled up wire antenna, LiOn battery ,… everything need to grab and go and set up an emergency amateur radio station (without forgetting anything!). While ham radio is a great life long hobby… it has a serious side… ‘When All Else Fails’. When all the utilities are down and GoBox can be setup in a few minutes a establish radio communications to Red Cross, County Emergency Operation Centers… locally or hundreds/ thousands of miles away! These connectors are used for connecting the coax cables coming from the temporary antennas in trees or pulled up on a flagpole to and thru the case to the rig. These a very high quality and have four pre-drilled mounting holes to secure them to the case.

Purchase these to mount on a DXEngineering DXE-CGB-150 plate. The plate and connectors mount on the leg of a Rohn 25 tower, and interconnect the antenna pigtails to the transmission lines. My application is Amateur Radio HF communications. The connector is machined very well and fit into the plate with no problem. (4) each 4-40 x 3/8" flat socket cap screws, flat washer, and #4 "thin" lock washers are used to mount the connector. A measurement was made on the connector to check for impedance bump. It was well in tolerance at 30 MHz, and skewed slightly up at 500 MHz. (UHF Connector Spec is DC - 300 MHz). So for VHF and lower frequencies this is a very good connector. I'm pleased in the quality of the product, and will likely buy more. Note: if using outside, don't forget to waterproof the connector(s) and coax.
