Using this to replace the pump on a 1977 Maytag Machine. Just installed it. Worked like a charm on the 1st few runs. Seems to be working perfectly for now. We'll see how it goes.

Ok I was skeptical to pay so little for a washing machine part, but when an EOM part is almost $200 why not take the chance? Installed in about 20 minutes. Exact fit. Replaced the pump belt to the pump at the same time (also purchased on Amazon). I've ran several loads through the washer and no leaks or issues. Break down the cost if you call a repair man - $75 service charge, $200 for the pump, and another $25 for the belt. This pump and two belts (pump and drive) cost me $40. That's a $260 savings and 20 minutes of time.. Do It Yourself!

DO. NOT. BUY. I installed this pump because I thought my old one was leaking (it wasn't...it was a broken hose). Properly tensioned the belt. Ran a load. As soon as the spin cycle started, the pulley detached from the pump and flew out from under the washer. Plus, the seam of the pump was leaking too. Junk. Pay a bit more and buy a genuine Whirlpool pump.

The pulley wheel is of lesser quality than oem Maytag. However, the unit works fine so far.
