works well - but does get very hot. I'm also not sure why there are 2 seperate cords - charger to base and base to outlet.

This SwanScout 506M is a compact and lightweight magnetic wireless charger stand that doesn't take up much desk space. It performs its core charging function well, and I'm generally satisfied with it, giving it a 4-star rating despite a few quirks with its cable design.Functionality & Compatibility:The charger works well. I've successfully used it with my wife's iPhone and, for my daily use, with my Pixel 9 XL equipped with a MagSafe-style case. The magnetic connection is effective for charging in both horizontal and vertical orientations. The detachable charging puck is a clever feature; it's quite compact and could be useful for travel if you want to bring just the puck, though I personally won't be using it that way often.Cable Design Issues:My main complaints relate to the cable that is part of the detachable charging puck:Permanently Attached: The cable is permanently fixed to the charging puck itself. I would have much preferred a USB-C port on the puck, allowing for user-selectable cables in case of damage or for different length requirements.Color Mismatch: The unit and puck are black, but the cable is white, which is an odd aesthetic choice that stands out.Excessive Length (when docked): The cable is about 3 feet long. While this might be useful if using the puck detached, it's far longer than needed when the puck is docked on the stand (where 9 inches would suffice), leading to unnecessary cable clutter on the desk. This again highlights the benefit a detachable cable would have offered.Conclusion:The SwanScout 506M is a good value for a MagSafe-compatible charging stand, especially with its useful detachable puck feature. It charges compatible devices reliably and has a small footprint. However, the design choices regarding the puck's permanently attached, oddly colored, and overly long (when docked) cable prevent it from being a perfect 5-star product for me. Despite these cable quirks, it functions well and I'm satisfied with its performance, making it a solid 4-star recommendation.

This is awesome. My phone won’t plug in and charge well anymore so I needed a MagSafe charger. This one is amazing. It fits well on my nightstand so I can easily see it and take it on and off when I need it. It charges quickly and the magnet seems strong but not overpowering. It’s lightweight and the cord length is perfect. I can put the charger on the stand or I can lay it flat - whatever I choose which is great! It was easy to put together in the stand and I love the functionality of it as I can use it as a stand or I can charge will laying my phone flat. So far I am very pleased with this and hope to get great use out of it.

I've been using this charging stand consistently for my iPhone 16 pro, it's just ok. It charges pretty slow, and I don't like that you're supposed to plug a cord from the outlet into the bottom of the stand and then use another cord from the actual charging pad into the base of the stand...too many cords for my taste. I ended up bypassing the base of the stand and running the cord straight from the charging pad to the outlet. I wish the stand was adjustable when my phone is on it, like to swivel or adjust the angle my phone hangs from it but it is stationary. Overall, I don't care for the design on this charging stand. It's just ok.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I needed a MagSafe charger on a stand for convenient viewing. In addition, I needed to be able to remove it from the stand while continuing to charge in case my battery was running really low. For me, this is well suited at my bedside.The stand itself has a decent weight to keep it stable. The height is also great. Power is supplied to the lower rear of base through a usb c port with the provided charging cable. The power to the MagSafe charger is a usb c port off to the lower side. The length is approximately 3 and a half feet long which is adequate. The magnetic charging disc easily slips in and out of the mounting slot. The magnet is strong.This device brings you best of both worlds - convenience of a stand and freedom of motion while still charging.
