I needed to move all my wine to my new house. This was a great way for me to manage the load. I could have used 2 more sets but I made it work. Sturdy then collapsed down for easy storage.

The inserts that go between the wine bottles are not sturdy at all. As soon as you put the wine in and pick up all the wine bottles collapse into each other. I had to stick an empty wine box with cardboard inserts inside to get any stability. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

The cardboard bottom is really important, but these are still terrible. The sides and dividers have no stiffness at all, making them very difficult to carry and manage. As soon as I finished the move I purchased them for (after losing a couple of bottles to their awful design), I threw them in the garbage. Literally try ANYTHING else.

These carriers are too flimsy for the transport of full wine bottles. They are only suitable for use a decorative or gift-wrapping baskets. I recommend you spend the money necessary to buy proper transporting containers or risk broken bottles.

Crate collapses on sides when filled with wine bottles, not enough structure to support the weight

I actually use these when I shop at Trader Joes, since I used to use their wine boxes to take my groceries home, but my local store has been short of them as of late. The partitions do come out and everything folds up, but they don't load up quickly. They do require a little wrestling around to get the partitions back in after you take them out. That's ok at TJ's; most everyone is pretty cool there, except in the parking lot. I got so many questions asking where I got these because they look so handy and so reuseable. They are felt in construction, since felt at a certain thickness is pretty "rigid" without starching it into place. They have pleather, maybe even actually leather, sheathes on the handles to add a little more rigidity, but do be mindful of overloading these. They have no rigid insert to keep the bottom from bowing and the handles are just cut and shaped felt, part of the body, so under enough weight they may give. Felt is not the same as canvas, it doesn't not have the same tensile strength and can give out. They are a little on the shallow side, which is where over-loading them can create an issue. The over-loaded bag could unbalance and cause things to topple out of the shallow walls. So I actually don't use these for wine, unless there are only a few bottles in one, accompanied by cans, short jars, etc. But I do get a lot of use out of them grocery shopping and do really like these.Great for shopping and storing things SHORTER than a wine bottle. Could even, theoretically, use these as grow bags if you really don't end up getting use out of them as reuseable shopping bags. They are deep enough for most container-bred plants, and felt grow bags are becoming a good replacement for plastic pots.

These are nice looking but are not very sturdy, even with the cardboard bottom installed and are vey floppy if you try to carry 12 bottles of wine in them. Plus they have to be deconstructed (dividers and cardboard bottom removed) to be folded.
