Living in Arizona, a good sunshade isn’t optional, it’s essential! I picked this one up for my 2021 Ram 2500 after my old accordion-style shade started peeling and warping from the intense heat. This new one immediately impressed me with its full windshield coverage and blackout effectiveness. The first time I used it, I left my truck parked outside for about five hours in 95°F sun. When I got back inside, the temperature was noticeably cooler than usual, definitely not the oven I’ve grown used to. Even better, the dashboard and steering wheel weren’t scorching to the touch. It really does act like blackout curtains for your truck. Installation is straightforward, just pop it open and press it into place, using the sun visors to hold it firm. It contours well and even worked around my dash cam and rearview mirror without issue.But here’s the catch, folding this thing back up and getting it into the storage pouch feels like trying to solve a soft, spring-loaded puzzle. I eventually gave up and just store it behind the passenger seat without the bag. It’s not a deal-breaker, but if you're the kind of person who likes everything neatly packed away, expect a bit of frustration.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great fitting, easy to install/remove, not too difficult to fold, provides plenty of shade, works well covering sun from coming into the car. Comes with storage bag. Works as advertised

I drive a Dodge Dakota 2010 and this actually fits my windshield perfectly keeps the heat out and protects the dash from the Sun easy to fold up and put in the back It is built nicely and the quality is great

The shade is a perfect fit for our 2023 Ram Laramie 1500. The entire surface of the front window is covered. There is a velcro strap that hooks behind the rearview mirror. The sun visors are still needed to hold the sides up. The sides do fit into a small groove by the window frame. It is simple enough to fold and unfold. Grab each lower corner and fold to cross over and it folds into thirds. The outside is silver and the inside is black. The interior of the vehicle is noticeably cooler. The fabric has some stiffness to it. It is a big cover so it is more bulky than my old original fold up shade.

I’ve had many windshield shades before, and they have, almost always, been of a not-very-good quality. These shades seem to be of an excellent quality; the fabric is hard and thick, and the stays feel stiff enough that they should not break. The shades provide a great cover since they fill the entire windshield, and they even come with a velcro strap to secure them to the rearview mirror tightly. The storage bag works as a cover for the steering wheel as well, which is a good plus to be fair. It also comes with an instruction manual on how to deploy and store it.Only time will tell how much it will hold, but so far, it does what I wanted to do, which was to cover the entire windshield and stay in its position effectively.

Bought this to use in my 2022 Ram 5500 work truck. Since it’s a commercial vehicle, I can’t get the windows tinted which causes it to get super hot inside the cab on sunny days, figured ordering a sunshade would help resolve that issue for the most part. It covers the entire windshield from side to side and top to bottom! My windshield has a company camera mounted on it at well as my phone mount and I still managed to make it work, I just had to use the sun visors to keep it in place. Another awesome feature is that this thing folds up into the shape of a circle and has a storage bag so it’s not going to take up much space when you’re not using it. All-in-all, I’m very happy with the item I received, it does a great job blocking out the sun, can’t ask for much more than that!
