I purchased the product to replace about two dozen snaps on a sports car tonneau cover. The snaps work well and were easy to install, although I didn’t use the supplied flaring tool or punch. I’ve used similar “hammer” type securing tools in the past with mixed success so I invested in a proper snap plier fastening tool, which was well worth the expense. Also, the description doesn’t indicate the diameter of the cap post, which is 4mm and is the correct width to make a good seal to the stud/socket hole.

I installed a short nylon strap to the rain gutter of my Jeep top to keep my cb antenna from swinging wildly on the trails. It took virtually no effort to pop these snaps. I returned these and bought ss HD snaps like boat canvas repair guys use and made another strap, works well, these are for very light duty use.

The description said the set was stainless steel. When putting the screws in several of them broke off leaving me with just enough to do the project instead of having extras as planned with the kit. In the future I will order different screw on kits with separate screws which I can substitute stronger screw for.
