Network adapter has really good speed.I tested it thru my 1Gbs network and gave me almost 800Mbs up and down. Really good.Have the same issue with this one I had with the 5Gbps version, the Realtek drivers made it unusable so I went I selected the Microsoft one and worked perfectly. One less star because of the driver issue.Other than this, the adapter is good. Sturdy, fully made of metal, the cable is well braided and hard.I could not find the device in WavLink site but the included 2D barcode will take you to the support page of the device in WavLink, weird. Bot the drivers are unusable, at least for me.Overlooking the driver issue, this I can recommend.

J'ai acquis cet adaptateur Ethernet vers USB-C dans le but de le brancher sur un MacBook Pro... mais je l'ai testé avec un iPhone 15 Pro Max pour voir... et je n'ai pas été déçu !Dans la notice, ils laissaient entendre qu'il fallait installer un driver pour macOS (et Windows)... mais on a besoin absolument de rien pour un iPhone avec une prise UBS-C (et ça doit être la même chose pour iPadOS). J'ai désactivé le WiFi, le Bluetooth et le réseau cellulaire et, après avoir branché l'adaptateur, une ligne Ethernet est apparue comme par magie dans les réglages (voir photo) !Même si sur le test on voit écrit 870 Mbps (voir photo encore), il faut savoir que j'ai même atteint une crête à plus de 940 Mbps sur un réseau Ethernet à 1 Gbps. Bluffant ! Je n'ai pas pu tester au-delà mais je n'ai aucun mal à croire que l'adaptateur puisse atteindre les 2,5 Gbps comme annoncé dans ses spécifications. À noter que, lorsque j'ai fait les tests, je n'avais pas plus de 60 Mbps via le réseau cellulaire et 380 Mbps via le WiFi. Voilà donc mon iPhone qui télécharge 3 fois plus rapidement que le WiFi avec une latence de moins de 12 ms. Vraiment bluffant !Bien évidemment, ce débit fantastique était mesurable pendant que mon iPhone chargeait. L'entrée USB-C femelle sur le flanc du boîtier relaie bien le courant à l'appareil branché à la prise USB-C mâle. C'est tellement pratique pour se connecter à un réseau local rapide tout en chargeant son MacBook Pro par exemple (puisque le boîtier peut encaisser du 95 W). La solution idéale pour ceux qui veulent jouer en ligne notamment !Sans compter, qu'au delà de tous ces aspects pratiques, le boîtier est de toute beauté avec sa coque design en métal. Cette dernière mesure 9,4 cm de longueur, pour 3,5 cm de largeur et 1,8 cm de hauteur. Le cordon lui fait autour de 16 cm de longueur. L'ensemble pèse seulement 56 grammes.Une réussite absolue ! Franchement, ça vaudrait même 6 étoiles ! Foncez !

I recently received the WAVLINK USB C to Ethernet Adapter with 2.5 Gbps speeds, and I have to say, it’s been an excellent addition to my tech setup. Setting it up was a breeze; I just plugged it into my laptop’s USB-C port and connected it to my Ethernet cable. The connection was established almost instantly, and I noticed a significant improvement in my internet speed compared to the standard Wi-Fi connection. I am using Xfinity 2 Gbps service with a modem and router that supports 2.5 Gbps network speeds, but download and upload are different, being cable internet, so I see ~2.2 Gbps download and ~300+ upload speeds.The 2.5 Gbps speed is impressive, particularly for tasks that require high bandwidth, such as online gaming and streaming 4K videos. I’ve experienced stable connections without any dropouts, which was a game-changer for my productivity.Another standout feature is the 95W power passthrough. I'm used to a lot of plastic USB accessories, so I was very pleased to find this Wavlink adapter is in a brushed aluminum case with a sturdy USB cable. Looks like a serious component. And (shock) it actually comes with a printed manual! Granted the book is tiny, about 2x3" - it put my reading glasses to the test - but it is comprehensive and all I needed to get the install done. Even has a good troubleshooting FAQ section. Note you will likely need to download a driver so you'll need connectivity through some other connection to get this working. Five minutes from opening the box, the driver was installed and the computer rebooted. My 2022 vintage Macbook Pro - which has a generous 4 Thunderbolt ports but no RJ45 jack - was hardwire-connected to my LAN for the first time. I only have a 1gig wired network, so I couldn't test the 2.5gig capability of this adapter, though it's nice to know it's available if and when my network gets upgraded.

I have several Wavlink networking products from outdoor access points to WiFi bridges and I have always been pleased with them. And this one is no exception.The adapter was packaged well and looks nice. It comes in a space grey that matches many of my Apple products. My testing was done using a Mac Mini M4 connected to my 10G home lab switch through the Wavlink adapter at 2.5G. I also have a Windows 11 system connected at 10G and I used iperf between the Mac and PC to test throughput. I was able to get 1.74 Gbits/sec on my best test run. Unfortunately, I could not adjust my MTU above 1500 to test jumbo frames. This is a limitation on the Mac side (and they lock down network drivers) and Wavlink claims to support jumbo frames up to 16K. That may squeak out a bit more performance, but 1.74 Gbps was acceptable to me. For the record, when I run the same test with my Thunderbolt 10G adapter on the Mac Mini I get 7.65 Gbps, so I did not expect to see a full 2.5 through this adapter.I plan to use this more with my MacBook Pro, so the power passthrough is nice to have. I am not sure that has any value on newer Macs with MagSafe adapters though.Overall I am very pleased with this adapter. It is well made and should hold up well in my backpack and so far the performance has been quite good.

J’utilise ce petit adaptateur sur un PC fixe sous Linux Mint, et rien à dire, il a été reconnu direct sans avoir à chipoter, j’ai même pas eu besoin d’installer de pilote ou quoi que ce soit. La connexion est stable, le débit est bon, j’ai pu atteindre les 5 Gbps sur mon NAS, donc de ce côté-là c’est validé ✅Le boîtier est en métal, ça fait solide, la prise tient bien. Côté compatibilité, j’ai essayé sur un port USB-C avec adaptateur vers USB-A, et aucun souci.Faut juste savoir où on met les pieds : c’est un bon matos mais un peu capricieux si vous êtes pas à l’aise avec les drivers, surtout sur Windows. Et il n’y a pas d’indication claire sur le site pour aider les débutants.En résumé : si vous êtes sous Linuxet que vous savez ce que vous faites → très bon choix 👍 Sinon, prenez le temps de bien lire les retours, ça peut éviter des galères 😅
