This water cooler is awesome. I haven't had something similar in my house since I was a kid, and my wife will not drink tap water. We also live in Arizona where having cool water available from the tap isn't always an option during the summer, plus the ice maker in our freezer recently started malfunctioning. Also, my wife will only drink bottled water, despite the fact that I have a filter on the kitchen sink. This water cooler to the rescue. It does not come with a 5 gallon bottle, so we purchased one already filled with water for a little under $15 from our local big box store to get started. Future refills should be quite affordable. After attaching it to the cooler, it took maybe an hour for cold water to start coming out, although if I filled my 40 oz water bottle it would flash a light saying to add more water. Within a few hours we had enough ice that my wife was worried if we left it on overnight it would overflow, so she turned off the ice making function before we went to bed. This makes those little round hollow cylinders of ice rather than cubes or crescents. It includes a silicone mat for the ice tray, I assume to keep the ice from sticking to the machine itself, as well as a scoop so you don't have to grab ice with your filthy mitts and contaminate the whole thing. I just turned on the hot water function for the first time in order to make some tea but haven't checked the output yet, so I will update if anything unexpected happens there. Overall, I'm very happy with this unit, especially the fact that it makes delicious ice as well as cold water.

This unit has an ice-making feature that I wasn't sure was worth it. I do like icy cold water, but ice makers in general can be finicky and prone to malfunction. Time will tell how this one holds up. A minimum of moving parts is a good sign. The cubes themselves are nicely sized little bullets. The water chiller is perfectly adequate, the water heater gets scalding hot, a few degrees short of a proper cuppa but definitely hot enough for an American version. There is an overly-sensitive water-level indicator light that shines Add Water too frequently. The compressor is louder when active than I would like. Those negatives aside, it's a convenient, easy to use dispenser of good tasting cold water, which is all I really wanted. Thumbs up.

I really wanted to like this dispenser. But, there's no energy rating. It takes forever to heat up water. It's VERY loud- I swear there was something taking off in my kitchen where it's stored. The ice melts. It's slow to dispense water. It's too expensive to have all these issues plus being a top loading water water jug. Oh, and you have to tap to turn the water off as well. For $359 I'd expect more. But, the water is kept cold.

This ice-making water dispenser has a sleek and modern design. It’s easy to use, produces ice quickly, and the storage capacity is perfect for daily needs. The cup placement is clearly marked, making it user-friendly. Great for both home and office use—highly recommended

At our lake house in the PNW, it’s all about either hot water for tea in the winter or cool, crisp water in the summer after long and hot days on the boat on in the backyards direct sunlight.I am kind of, no I am, a water snob and ice snob in terms of what comes into contact with my body so being able to control the water supply is fantastic. To off one star for not coming with a non-jug adapter kit, as it would really make this product even more great. So would adding a “smart home” option to the ice cranking before the day gets going automagically. We have a built in ice maker that we sue for ice that doesn’t come into contact with drinks like for the cooler in the boat or to chill a bottle of wine. This makes a great quality cube for cocktails or regular drinks and blended drinks as well. Wouldn’t that be a hoot to have a blender on top!Make sure to keep the machine after delivered upright so the refrigeration can level out after delivery as the exterior of the box says. Setup is simple and there are kits convert from jug to jug less, if you wanted to get rid of the look, or don’t have the need for a jug as you say have an RO system or the like and don’t feel the need or desire to haul water tanks.Overall, I knew it didn’t have a waterline at purchase so it’s only getting one star taken off because I’d like TJ see a self cleaning function since it has hot water functions (which work quickly for our needs) as does ice production. I’d also like to see a UVC filter on the waterline and in the ice maker drawer so germs don’t make their way in!
