[Update] After posting the following comment, I heard back from the vendor regarding the ill-behaving panels. Eventhough I had not requested a return, they sent me a new set which work great. I really appreciate the diligence they showed in the is matter. Many vendors would just ignore the reviews and move on. So THANK YOU.I have purchase many many sets of these charger. They are great while they work, but at some point they stop working, normally within 6-8 months. I treat them as consumables. But the last two sets I have purchased have stopped working within a few weeks, the last one lasting just two weeks. My cameras have not changes, and I have moved them around from camera to camera to make sure it is not the camera. No good. I can't return this item because one works, and it was part of a set, but definitely will think twice before ordering a replacement.

First things first;....I bought a set of 2 of these back in 2020 when I moved into my new house (bought the Arlo pro 3 system from Costco). I thought them the perfect power solution for those cameras that had to be placed in (relatively) remote areas of the structure.Upon receiving them, I distinctly recall not being able to get them to work. (at the time I believed the issue to be related to my not placing them in the sun long enough to give the panels that first, initial charge). At any rate as new houses tend to do, my list of projects seemed never ending and these panels weren’t even on the top 10, so I threw these guys back into the box, stuck ‘em in a drawer, and promptly forgot about them.Fast forward a year or two, and I find my attention once again focused on my home security system. After moving a couple of cameras around, I found myself, once again pondering identical issues of power supply I faced back then. I’m skimming through amazon for extended length wires for my Arlo’s, when it hits me,—“hey I have a pair of Wasserstein solar panels that I couldn’t figure out how to operate sitting in a drawer somewhere”. I get em out, and this time set them outside for damn near a week, to ensure the get their proper initial charge. As a frame of reference, I live on Maui, in a town, whose name translates to “Cruel sun”—so if a week of Maui sun ain’t enough to charge these things, that could only mean one thing,—yes the covid also moved the equator along with everything else it did (or didn’t?).Okay so now that we’re up to speed, I can present my review. My review:These panels suck! Mine were 0 for 2.And if my Arlo pro 3’s actually stayed connected to my WiFi more than every other day, I’d be hella pissed about it.Thank you

I bought two of these in December 2020 and by the end of April one had already stopped charging one of my Arlo Ultra cameras. I wonder how long will the second one last...

Simple to install and charges my Arlo camera well. Very concerned about strength of the mount in windy environments though. Will see once we get storms. Can't raise the star value until wind tested

Love the fact that I don't need to unmount the cameras or to climb up a ladder to charge the batteries.

Solar panels for Arlo Pro 3 cameras. After first day charge increased from 39% to 76% on a sunny November day. Very simple to install and connect.

So the good is I got three of these for $100 where I got one Arlo solar panel for $70. The bad these are not as good as Arlo solar panels. If you have an area that gets shade or doesn't have good light I would recommend an Arlo. I have three of these and they work great in full sun. Keep my cameras charged at 100% every day. I think one of the problems people have been describing is the batteries will not charge under a certain temperature when this happens you will see an orange triangle with a lightning bolt inside of it. Your solar panel is working fine your battery just won't accept the charge. So it will look like your battery is draining while it is charging but it's actually not charging because of the temperature.

I installed these two panels next to two separate cameras in entirely different areas around the house. One of them gets a lot of great south/southeast sunshine. The camera status indicates that the battery is charging almost all the time and even with events throughout the day/night (triggered mostly by the dog) the camera manages to get back to a full charge each day and easily last through less-than-sunny days. Previously, this camera would barely last a week and even died within 48 hrs once before the panel. The second camera is on the other side of the house, is north facing, and in a shaded areas that really never gets direct sunlight. The camera's status never indicates charging but I have seen in increase in how long the camera battery lasts. I do want to reconnect the panel as it originally indicates some sort of power fault but in the meantime, while it doesn't appear to be charging, the battery has very slowly been draining losing only about a percent a day. A wonderful improvement for both cameras and I am satisfied!I was originally skeptical of the panels being able to increase the time between replacing the batteries much less keeping them fully charged. That said, I have been pleasantly surprised, even with the north facing camera (which made just need to be reset). Definitely worth the investment especially if the expected battery life of 1-3 months turned out to be more like a week or less in reality.I was also skeptical of the quality - IMO the Arlo panel looks cleaner in the pictures and of a higher quality - but I am also very pleased. These panels look and feel great and well built. After much delay and research I can definitely say that getting two of these panels seems to be the way to go.Edit: 3/24/2022 - Just over 2 yearsShortly after writing my original review, I ended up never needing to change the batteries. My back-up batteries sit on the charger where they have for quite some time. I may have changed them once or twice due to periods of elongated lack of sunshine. Only thing stopping now is laziness.Structurally - I had the southeast side one come down today. We had high winds but if I'm being honest, it was probably broken by some contractors who had recently done work; I seem to recall last I repositioned it, one size of the mount was broken. The other one has lost it's nut and gets a limp from time to time. All in all, should be fixable and even if the other one broke due to wear, not bad for two years of central Texas weather!Hoping to be able to locate a way to replace just the mount without needing to get another set. But definitely considering just getting new set.Still a 5 star product!
