These spring assemblies certainly looked like the original ones, but they did not solve the problem, which was the machine going out of balance on the spin cycle. The repair tech I finally gave up and called said what was needed was genuine Maytag parts.The springs on the assembly are not the issue. There is a damping gizmo on top of the spring that was not working, allowing the tub to rock excessively.

Installed on a Maytag washer put on spin cycle it just about turned the machine over. It was so bad never seen it so so bad their junk China junk

This product did not work. I thought that something else was not working with my washer and ended up wasting more money to have someone come check my washer only to tell me that the product I purchase was not good. I returned the item back to Amazon and bought the part in a local store close to me. Do not recommend this product.

Headline says it all.Original Comment -- For me, a 63 year old guy, it was easy to install with a little help from my wife who made sure the hook was installed right as I pulled the rods up. The only issue is the black sleeve on one of the springs was broke and since it is essential but doesn't take that much wear and tear I used one from the old set. Took out the out of balance issue, will see for how long.
