This pump installed so easily, it is a so-close-to-original part. It runs so quiet and efficiently, our laundry has never been this clean! A perfect replacement for a noisy, run down pump that finally quit.

Fast shipping! The pump got delivered 3 days prior to the original delivery date — which was great because we were without a usable washer!Installed new pump and it worked right away. Hopefully it continues to work well in coming months.

I had changed this out 9 years ago. I left stuff in my pockets which got caught in the impeller. After a while the magnets lose their strength and it takes longer for the pump to move out all the water. The machine then times out and thinks that something is wrong. Easy fix.

Fits and works. Easy to install. Only issue was its packaging/ packing. It arrived with the plastic shroud shattered. This has been noted by others who've ordered this part. They've also added pics of there parts arrival which was the identical state mine arrived in.

This item looked identical to the original pump. Unfortunately, it didn't come with any instructions for installation. I was able to watch a You Tube video which showed me how to remove the old pump. Once I was able to remove the old pump, I was able to install the new pump within a matter of minutes. I normally wash four to five loads every two to three weeks when I do laundry. So far the washer is working great! The washer did have an error once last week; but I ran a rinse and spin and ran two loads after that without further issues. I am very pleased considering that a new pump from Whirlpool would have cost approximately $125.00. If you have about 30 minutes along with a bowl, 10mm socket, flat tip screwdriver, and pair of vice grips for the clamps, you can remove your old pump and install a new one!! The hardest part was determining that I needed to "pop" the rubber foot out of the base of the washing machine to remove the pump and then reinstalling the face plate onto the washer. I have a Whirlpool Duet Sport HT Washing machine that is approximately 12 years old.UPDATE January 19, 2021: this little pump is still going strong!! I haven't had any problems with my Whirlpool Duet Sport HT washing machine since I installed it February 2020. Extremely pleased!!!

This is a two part review. Here is part 1... I bought this to replace the factory brand drain pump on a Whirlpool Duet washing machine. It fits perfect in the slots on the washer bottom panel. Everything seemed good at first but the pump began to vibrate hard and to overheat and produced a melting plastic smell, which was disturbing considering the possible fire danger. Either the plastic walls of the motor are poor quality or the electrical coils in the drain pump motor have looseness, contact something where they shouldn't, or I don't know what exactly. So, I reopened the bottom of the washing machine, and saw that... the drain pump was still in its normal installed position (not deviated from install position), the 2 tubes from the washer drum and to the sewer connection pipe were attached strongly to the drain pump (no leaks), the electrical harness from control board to the drain pump connector was attached securely, and all seemed in order. Simultaneous to the bad plastic smells was the fact that sometimes the front door would not unlock at the end of a washing cycle. The washer completed the cycle to the last minute but then finally the door would not unlock. This annoyed us to no end. Now I will reorder the samew drain pump, and retry and give an update to this review after doing the re-replacement.Here is part two... The replacement part arrived very fast, and I reordered the same drain pump as the first pump. This second pump produced the plastic smell only slightly, and it seems to have gone away after a dozen or so cycles. The drain seems to function well, I can here it expelling the water just fine. The door unlocks at the correct time (at end of wash cycle) more frequently than the first pump. Unfortunately, it does not unlock correctly 100% of the time. So, I discovered a workaround... When the whirlpool duet reaches the end of the cycle, turn off the washer, switch the dial to Rinse & Drain, release the Extra Wash button, then press the Start button, wait a moment and door will unlock, grab at this chance to open the door. This drain pump earns a passing grade but not stellar, and the price cannot be beat, but I am guessing the OEM drain pump would send and relay the proper door unlock signal with more reliability. (But, OEM parts are pricier of course.)And now, part 3...It turns out that the MCU (motor control unit) was bad on my whirlpool duet washer. Arrrggh, it's only 6 years old. (my mom used her washer for 30+ years, and I replaced the drive belt on it ... once!) So i buy an off market one for $250 (not amazon seller, guess amazon doesn't sell those), and unsure if it will work or not because it is not an official OEM part. I swapped old for new and so far so good. So the solution may have been the MCU, not the drain pump. Thus, I raise this score to 4 stars.
