Compared to similar products, this is expensive. I purchased this brand and overpaid because of the glowing description on how it was supposed to be advanced technology. After applying it to the fingerboard, it slipped not once but three times. Very frustrating and annoying. Sent it right back.

The product photos are a lie. The letters are not those bright neon colors - they're black. You can't read it because it's a transparent sticker with black letters, against the black finger board of the violin.That said, if you know this ahead of time I guess you could put white stripe stickers on the backside of this figure guide directly behind the letters and everything would be great then.

Normally, these finger guides are made of poor material that are barely usable and thrown away after just using it once. That's not the case with this guide-- it is made in a way that can attach and be reattached, and is durable enough to withstand usage for a long period of time. If you are in the market for this type of product, we highly recommend it.

I haven't played violin in more than thirty years, but I want to pick it back up. I ordered tapes to mark the fingerboard, but they aren't always precise. This though is precise. This is going to make it easy to work back into the instrument I used to enjoy playing.
