Ordered this to use for "around the house" tasks, literally. This hose actually stretches from one short side of our house almost completely around to the other short side.It makes quick work of car washes and spraying down our fire pit after a bonfire, etc. The included head feels premium and works well.The one thing I will note, we have ours mounted about chest high on a 4x4 post. It's certainly sturdy but takes some significant strength to move around this much hose. It gets to the point that we work in a team of two to reel it back in sometimes.I also had to bore out the padlock hole on the bottom a bit to get any of my padlocks to fit, but that could be the locks themselves and not the reel, so I won't dock it for that.Overall, a very nice and attractive garden hose. Highly recommend it.

I was able to get this installed on Saturday as we had some really nice warm weather for the first time this year. I knocked off a star because the spring pulling the host back just isn't as strong as I would have liked. While it does work, I had to push the host toward it more than I would have expected to get it to reel back in. Don't get me wrong, this is so much nicer than the old manual plastic thing we have used for years and I wouldn't say don't get it over my spring comment.Installation was a bit tough by myself just due to where it was being installed and the weight of the unit. I got smart and was able to put a few buckets stacked together under it to help support the weight while I got the fasteners installed. After that, the rest was a snap. The gaskets are good and it doesn't leak at any of the junctions. If you're looking for one of these, this one does the job and again it doesn't leak or spray water at the joints.

Awesome product and built so much better than cheaper competitors. Seems sturdy and made to last at least 5-10 years. Hose retract system is smooth and included quick connects are an awesome bonus. No leaks and no lost pressure!

I thought that this was going to be a small hose reel and was going to put it at the summer house where it would not be used very much. I thought wrong. This is a good size hose reel and, when extended, goes half way around my house. What really sold me on keeping it at home, where it will be used often, was the retraction. With the nozzle on the other end of the yard the hose retracted smoothly, no catching, no pauses, and, if I wanted to stop all I had to do was pull the hose out a little until it locked. Compared to my old hose, that I had to wrap on a hose hanger, this is a breeze. There is a caution not to let the hose retract freely so I will hold it with a towel to clean the hose as it retracts. Mounting the reel on the house was very easy, mounting hardware is included and the screws are hex head so a socket can be used to torque them in. Quick connects are provided for both ends making it easy to swap nozzles and to disconnect the hose from the faucet. The quick connect at the nozzle end also has a shut off so there is no running back to the faucet to shut the water off to change nozzles or switch to a sprinkler or soaker hose. I really like that after making all the connections, hand tightening only, there were no leaks. It is a little pricey but it feels like it will last and I'm not going to miss rehanging the hose after each use.
