This landscaping fabric/weed barrier is much like a black tarp, thicker and sturdier than the hardware store or even garden shop landscaping fabric that I bought before trying this. I decided to use it on areas where I'll be walking over the mulch often to reach raised beds and just work on things, and I expect it to last for years. My only concern is whether it'll hold up to some of the digging animals in the area, because I think this has solved problems with the thistle and other thorny plants trying to break through. Lawn staples that are about 6" long are included in the package, though you may want to consider longer ones if the area is high traffic, or if you have weather or animal issues.NOTE: As an Amazon Vine reviewer, Amazon provides this product for review without charge; however, I must claim the full value of this product on my taxes as a taxable gift, and pay taxes on it.

I had high hopes for this uuffoo weed barrier, and while it does the job for light-duty applications, it's not quite as durable as advertised. The size is great — plenty of coverage for garden beds or walkways — and the woven design allows for decent water drainage. That said, the material feels thinner than expected, especially for something marketed for commercial driveways and erosion control. It tears more easily than it should when you're using staples or walking over it during installation. I wouldn’t rely on it for high-traffic areas or heavy use without extra reinforcement. For basic weed control in garden beds, it works fine and is easy to cut and lay out. But if you're looking for something truly heavy-duty, this might fall a bit short. It’s not a bad product — just better suited for lighter landscaping than what the listing suggests.

I recently used the Weed Barrier Landscape Fabric in my garden, and I have to say, it made a noticeable difference. I’ve struggled with weeds for years, and this fabric has been a game changer. It’s lightweight yet durable, and I found it easy to cut and lay down around my plants.Once I secured it in place, I topped it off with mulch, and I loved how it allowed water to penetrate without letting pesky weeds come through. I’ve had it down for a few months now, and I can definitely see fewer weeds popping up compared to before.

Really good weed barrier. In fact, this is better than the store kind. I am adding a small cement area in my yard so I can park my car. I have been watching all the videos I can and know this is a step I shouldn't skip. I wanted a strong commercial kind and this was perfect. I compared it to the store kind and this one seems tighter weaves. Its very strong and for this price, it can't be beat.

Typical woven weed-stop landscape fabric.Maybe a little tighter woven than some, but still fairly thin andI've had the best luck when using double layers. The edges come fused to keep it from unraveling. If you have to make any cuts though, it will quickly unravel.Reasonably opaque to block most of the sunlight, but some weeds (like nutsedge) will grow right through a single layer of it.While it does allow water to slowly penetrate, most of it will runoff or puddle for awhile. The landscape staples and washers are a very useful accessory provided with this product.Unlike most of these products, this one comes folded instead of rolled on a tube. The translation of the user's manual into English probably wasn't as intended.Never seen a user manual for weeding fabric, but this one is great (for a laugh).Appears this product is designed to both "grow" and "prevent" weeds :-( -> (-:They've probably corrected it by now, so included a picture of the one that came with my order.

I used this landscape fabric to cover an area where I extended my garden with several large planters. The fabric that I had used just a couple of months ago to cover the area to prevent grass and weeds from growing was already falling apart and grass was growing through the fabric. I was impressed with the thickness and strength of this fabric—it is super strong. I don’t think it will be falling apart anytime soon and grass will surely not grow through it. The fabric frays quite a bit when cut with a knife or with scissors, but I learned that it should be cut with a heat knife or even with a soldering iron.I was surprised to find that the fabric came with 25 fabric washers and staples. This 6.5-foot-wide fabric makes it easy to cover a large area much quicker and easier than with the two or three foot wide product that is readily available. I like this landscaping fabric and will purchase it again when I need more high quality landscaping fabric.

First, this does not come in a 6.5 ft. roll as depicted, it arrives in a neat 12" x 17" zip lock plastic bag.Second, this is polyethylene material, not woven fiber, and should last many years. It gets its permeability by appearing to be either woven or cut with a die into a woven pattern. Either way, it appears tough and durable.Packed inside the folds are 25 sets of u-shaped spikes and flat plastic "washers" to reinforce the stakes.Recommended, will definitely last longer than the cheap tearable stuff.
