This USB to Ethernet Cable adapter is Awesome! This is plug-n-play, nothing to install.I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port on both an old legacy laptop, and a USB 3.0 port on a fairly current workstation (both Win10), and it shows up in Device Manager as the attached " SB to Ethernet Cable.jpg" pic.In Network Manager, it shows up as a 1G adapter per the "...ncpa.cpl.jpg" picLove this thing, and it's definitely going to go into my emergency Go-bag of cables and connectors if/when I have to travel.Pros: Everything. It just works! The USB connectors are for USB 2.0 and 3.0, Plus a USB-C connector. The cabling is made to be tough, with a rugged design that appears to be made to take some abuse (for the traveling IT consultant - me)Cons: None, as this works as designed.Comments: This unit works great as designed, if you are within 6ft of an RJ45 port, so in an office, close to the wall ports, at home, near your modem/network gear. In a datacenter, near the rack with a network port. I would like for this to have the RJ45 port in the end of the little hardware dongle, rather than have a fixed network cable with the RJ45 connector at the end of a 6ft cable. This is not a dig towards this unit, as this thing works Excellent as it is designed for.

Pretty cool little ethernet cable since it connects directly to my laptop via its USB-C or USB-A end. So, if your laptop doesn't have an ethernet port, this one will work for you. My husband's brand new 2025 Asus laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. But plugging its USB-C end to his laptop's USB-C port directly connected him to our home internet router, when plugging in this adapter's ethernet-tip end. Direct & easy! So handy for work traveling @ hotels' ethernet connections.Definitely recommended.

This is a very sturdy cable with a built-in gigabit ethernet adapter. I see consistent gigabit speed with every device I've tried it with (iPhone, iPad, SteamDeck, Windows PC, Linux PC). The cables are thick and feel well-built, and the captive USB-C to USB-A adapter is a nice touch. One note: The packaging on mine claimed that this was a 2.5 Gbps adapter, but that is not the case; it is most definitely a 1 Gbps adapter. That said, the Amazon page did not claim 2.5 Gbps, so this is likely just a packaging error, and not a problem with the product itself or with the company's advertising claims.

Great thing to have in your bag of tricks! So few laptops come with ethernet jacks now, so this is nice to have. Can be used on basically anything as it has an included captive C to A adapter. Worked without any extra steps from me on a Windows laptop as well as a Galaxy S25.

This is an upgrade in usability for me. I had a setup into my laptop (sans ethernet port) and was plugging it in with a two part cable. USB C to USB A adapter to a USB to female RJ45 and then an RJ45 to RJ45 cable into the router. This cable makes it 33.3% less stuff I have to deal with!Speeds are acceptable and equivalent to my old setup. And has the bonus of 2 different possible connections. USB A and C

I needed this because I'm trying to setup a new home network and laptops no longer come equipped to ethernet ports. This is well made and works as advertised. I think I'll keep it in my bag anyways since sometimes it's preferable to use a wired connection, especially if the wifi is a bit sketchy/unsecure. I didn't test this cable for rated speeds, but it works well enough to make a connection to equipment for setup, which is why I needed it.

This adapter is exactly what we need to speed up the process of getting devices hard wired. New laptops dont come with RJ 45 jacks so this bypasses these steps. It's a simple plug & use adapter and it's sturdy enough to hold up after multiple uses. Should've ordered mine long ago! The cable is very heavy duty and should last a very long time.

Works well with Apple and Samsung devices. The USB-C connector has a raised lip so it works without removing my phone's case.Speed tests meet expectations.
