I used this stem to raise my bike handlebar (HB) to reduce my bending down/forward to reach HB...getting old. Cost is reasonable much lower than bike shops and shipping is fast. Quality is good.

Excellent stem. I don't know why people are using long flat stems for Mtb. I just got a new bike and i had to change it. This part is of great quality, i would take it any day on the mountain and jumps.

I bought the stem for my kid's bike because he wanted to be more upright. We mated it to a set of giant 780mm bars.He really likes the way his bike feels and handles, and can wheelie a fair distance compared to the cheap flat rise stem that came with his bike.

It is a good product. The only thing that I would have liked to have known was that because of the angle of the stem, the base part that attaches to the bike (steering column) had a lot of height. On the old one I took off, it had a bushing (or spacer or something) between the stem and steering column, so with the new one I had to take that spacer off. Possibly some bikes may not have that spacer to remove so it may not fit as well.

So far so good after a month and about 500 Miles on a Cyclocross bike. I am a big dude and needed some extra height, this delivered. It is about 4 times heavier than the previous one, but until i weigh 155 pound I doubt it matters. Strong and so far reliable.

Installed very easy. Very good quality. However, no instructions or tools if you are unfamiliar with the install. (Just required Allen wrenches.) Improved riding position. Removing weight from my hands and strain on my back. Installed on a GT mountain bike.

Used this on my Giant Talon to raise the handlebars. Bolted on fine and actually has more clamping surface at the steering stem than the original did - ended up taking all but one spacer off in order to attach this. The handlebar end is lighter than the original but has held up fine. Make sure to add thread lock to the bolts during assembly!

The same cheap casting as every other budget bike stem, but it works and I haven’t broken it despite a lot of abuse. The higher rise is great for people with shorter arms or for getting your weight way farther back for downhill riding.
