Our cord had gotten pinched by the chair (more than once), and I had spliced it with electrical tape, but it just didn't look very good. In a snap, we were able to replace our old, worn out, and damaged cord with this one. It really doesn't get any easier. Works just like the original! We are pleased with the quality of the remote and we're going to try to take better care of the cord this time. But if we don't, we know exactly where to go for the perfect replacement!
