Our dog chewed the lines to the power recliner of our sofa. It was stuck in a mid way up position, I guess it could have been worse. After doing some research into the part I took a good guess that this was the one I needed. I waited until Prime Day and was able to get it for a little bit off, which made it nice. My husband was able to flip our sofa over and remove the old motor. We were able to get the new motor attached in little time. We did not have to replace the power button, as that seemed to be intact, just connected the existing one to the unit.I will not say that this was easy peasy. It took a little work, we are by no means engineers, but we got it connected to the sofa and the power button on the sofa. It works to get the recliner up and down - the only issue is the up button now puts it down and the down button now puts it up. Definitely an error on our part but if you think we are worried about something like that, you are wrong! We are just happy that we were able to fix the sofa ourselves and for the price that we got it for.Our dog was told he better get a job to help pay for the motor. So far he hasn't found one, sleeps on the sofa like he put in a full 8 hours though - and likes to have the recliner up.
