Replacing the button mechanism with this product was simple. I did have to use the old original buttons so if you plan on reusing the buttons, make sure not to cut the wire too short.

These controllers have no markings for voltage etc. I figured it didn’t matter much since all of these controllers, regardless of brand, come from China. I was correct.These buttons work because the human body completes a circuit by grounding it. The touch buttons have a tiny bit of power running through them. These controllers were plug and play with the large end but the buttons they come with were way too short. I took the pigtails from the old controller and soldered only the positive ends to the new controller with a bit of heat shrink to protect it. DO NOT connect the ground wires. Both controllers had black/ground/negative wires running through the entire jacketed sleeve. If you peel pack the heat shrink at the touch button connection you’ll find the black wire terminates. It’s not connected to anything. Why they waste time with ground wires, soldering them to the control board and then not using them seems like a waste. It’s probably because these controllers can be programmed for multiple uses. Not a bad price @ $22. I’m sure NFM and the company would charge at least double for replacement controllers; that is, if they can even get them 3 years after purchase. *eyeroll*If your touch buttons aren’t working then give these a shot before you try replacing the motors or any other part. We had one controller replaced on delivery too.
