I use the pointer when reading. I love the modern style with the gold hand that stands out. Pleasantly surprised how the pointer helps keep your eyes from wondering.

Very disappointed - purchased this as a bar mitzvah gift and it arrived with only half of the box and the other half has writing on it. How am I supposed to gift this without a box?! It's not like you can find a box for a yad lying around.
