About this item

  • This copper frying pan can be used to “fluff up” a Japanese omelet. The most important feature of copper pans is their high thermal conductivity. The high heat conduction makes it possible to quickly cook at a balanced temperature.
  • Copper frying pans heat up food quickly and evenly, making it possible to make your Japanese omelets and other dishes perfectly. With this copper fry pan, you will surely be able to perform that once difficult flip now with impressive grace to cook the other side of the food. Witness the magic of copper and cooking using balanced heat with this essential kitchen item.
  • Once you taste a Japanese omelet made with a copper frying pan, you will never be able to go back to what you were using before. You and your table guests will love how the Japanese omelet becomes incredibly fluffy. Another great advantage of this particular product is the tin coating on the inside prevents any unwanted copper smell from getting absorbed into the food.
  • Cannot be used with an induction cooking stove. Not dishwasher safe, use hot water and a soft sponge for cleaning. Do not use dishwashing detergent to clean the inside of the pan. Detergent will remove the oil film.
  • Frying pan: 7.1"x7.1"x1.3" 27.5 oz, Wooden lid: 7.1"x7.1"x1.4"

Product Description

The Copper Advantage

1

The main advantage of copper pans is their high thermal conductivity. This means is that heat will spread quickly and evenly across the surface of the pan. To get the same quality of omelets and tamagoyaki that you'll find in Japanese restaurants, copper is the only way to go as these kinds of dishes strictly require being heated quickly and evenly. Omelets that must be rolled thin and beautifully cannot be made at least easily by other means. With copper, uneven heating is unlikely to occur, which greatly reduces the chances of a certain part of your food getting undercooked, overcooked or in the most regretful case, burnt to a crisp! Copper will also notably last you significantly longer than typical pans so if you want to cook some unforgettably tasty omelets or tamagoyaki, just go with this copper pan and make life a lot easier.

TIKUSAN Copper Pan For Japanese Omelettes & Tamagoyaki

A pan specially designed to make perfectly shaped and great tasting Japanese omelets and tamagoyaki. Made of copper to gain the benefit of high thermal conductivity, resulting in even and efficient heat conduction. Most importantly, you'll finally get that delicious "fluffiness" in your eggs.

Why Use This Pan?

2-1

Material Comparison

Only with copper will you get that delicious fluffy texture. Using aluminum or iron pans will not bring you the results you want for omelets or tamagoyaki.

2-2

Tin Coating

Tin coating has been thoughtfully added to the inside of the pan to prevent any unwanted copper smell from getting absorbed into the food.

2-3

Flip With Grace

The material, shape and special design of the pan means you now will flip your omelets and tamagoyaki with impressive ease. There's nothing worse than messing up the critical flip from using the wrong pan and having to start all over. Remember to oil down the pan well!

Not Just a Lid!

3-1

The included wooden lid actually doubles as a specialized tool to shape and serve your tamagoyaki or omelets.

3-2

You can make impressive cuboids just like in Japanese restaurants by taking advantage of the edges, surface, and weight of the lid along with the square shape of the pan.

3-3

Flip the lid over and it now becomes a serving platter that grandly compliments the dish.

3-4

Follow the way of pro chefs in Japan to make your meal tasty and authentic as possible while minimizing items in the kitchen as well as cleanup!

Great copper, but the handle attachment is very flimsy, and I attached it perfectly according to manufacture instructions. It needs two not just one nail.

Used to work the sushi bar and didn't get to make these daily so I bought my own pan. Made Tamago on the regular and finally got my recipe right. Eggs were getting expensive here though.

Good quality, good termination, only for one thing I don’t give you 5 star, poor packaging, bubble bag and you see the wooden lid has a lot scratches

Wow, this thing is legit. The handle base is welded to the pan base (not cheap rivets). Has a solid "heft" that screams quality. I'm super happy.

Worked great for me first time. Do make sure you season the pan before first to ensure the eggs don't stick. As noted by others, the little provided nail used to secure the handle is entirely inadequate. Replace it with a screw for a more secure connection; predrill a hole first.

Great pan exactly as described. Makes great fluffy tamagotchi. Lid is a nice touch and great for serving. Copper coating did discolor but doesn’t affect function

While not particularly easy to use, after a few tries, this produces the best tamagoyaki I’ve ever made. I imagine there are more user-friendly pans out there, but I love the traditional feel of this handmade (in Japan) piece of cookware.

I like the pan a lot. It’s compact and looks awesome. One note though the connection could be made more stronger.

Almost impossible to use without eggs completely sticking to pan which then can't be scrubbed off
