Cutting to the chase RecommendedIt will keep birds off my fruit plants effectively without being difficult to installThe TLDR (Too Long Didn’t Read) VersionI got this netting to keep birds out of my fruit growing in my raised bed planters. For the cost, I think the roll is huge! It cuts cleanly with scissors and is easy to size down to fit my beds. Once in place, it stays put well enough and hasn’t tangled up or frayed while setting it up.PLEASE NOTE: My reviews reflect my opinion of my customer experience with the product, based on its performance as delivered versus what the product’s description and/or pictures or diagrams may suggest. We have an 8 by 16 raised bed set up with a high hoop trellis, and we found that the Yavzevlqi Thicker 10x33 Garden Mesh Netting in Black was an ideal choice to spread over the trellis to protect the seeds and seedlings we will start growing in a few weeks. The net is see-through with fine mesh that keeps out the harmful insects and also deters the rabbits and deer that come up in our yard at night hoping for an easy meal. The mesh is lightweight enough to handle and arrange easily and heavy enough to drape flat and smooth over the trellis and tuck in around the edges of the bed. We have used black netting before and found that in a southern area like ours, it allows just enough sun through to help while filtering out the harsh strong sunlight that harms tender young plants.
