We bought this trans 4 years ago. First they shipped a small block pattern c6 which we had to return. The install took about a year as it was combined with a new 460 and other modifications to the car. When we took it in the test drive it turned out again, they’d shipped the wrong trans again-with a reverse manual valve body instead of regular. The tech gave me crap about adjusting the vacuum modulator being the problem, something that adjusts shift firmness, not its ability to shift at all. Shortly after that the warranty was up they said they’d ship the correct valve body out, then later said they don’t do that. I sourced a factory Ford valve body and shift kit but never got to install. When dropping the fluid on a trans that had less than 1,000 street it was absolutely full of aluminum and steel as seen in the pictures. The tci converter is likely the cause. tci will do absolutely nothing unless i ship out across the country again and pay them to rebuild it. Absolutely no thanks. I dropped a core c6 off at the local shop to have built and a converter built from Portland.Avoid TCI like the plague.
