Gorgeous. However it is very stiff so I do suggest if you want more shape us Bobby pins to pin it to your head.

So yes it comes a bit squished but just a quick hit with a steamer and poof...Perfectly fluffed up and ready for high tea party I'm going to.

Initially this looked like a unique and beautiful hat but unfortunately the hat my wife received does not appear at all as it does in the photo. First she had to steam it because parts were sticking all over. The other problem is that the hat sits very flat on her head such that it ends up looking like a plate with feathers and mesh ribbons simply sticking up. The steaming helped slightly. It may be "wearable" but for the most part it has proven rather disappointing when comparing to the photos. My wife will have to work with the hat more in order to hopefully bring it up to speed but it just doesn't seem worth the price point.In fairness, this may be exactly what some purchasers want and for that reason my wife did not feel a rating less than 3 is justified, but for our purposes we have to say it disappointed us.

The design of this is very Kentucky Derby. It's that mix between straw weaving and faux feathers that docks it down a notch for me. It looks a little 'fake' and it is a bit firm and heavy to wear on the side of your head. I could not get the clip to hold it in place and absolutely needed the headband to get it to stay put. If you have more textured hair and plan on using some bobby pins, it'll probably work without the headband.This is much classier than the little fake ones that look like a child's dress up toy. It looks adult and fashionable, but not exactly Waldorf, if that makes sense.
