While working on a tall ladder, it is nice to be able to preload the staple gun and then later trigger it when your workpiece is in place. (Versus simultaneously having to balance on the ladder, align workpiece and squeeze the staple gun handle.) It is also somewhat lightweight - again good for when working on a ladder.
