Arrived with a broken seal on the main box (see photo). I think in the larger sense that's a net positive since it meant I didn't have to break the seal myself and was able to inspect the suncatcher prior to wrapping it for Mother's Day.The inspection revealed that the small ring holding the cloud-shaped bangle to the wreath comprising the main part of the item had somehow come apart in transit (see photo). The ring is only about a quarter inch across, if that, so repair necessitated the use of a jeweler's loupe and two sets of needle nose pliers. Not the sort of unboxing experience we'd wish on a mother on the morning of her special day. The gift is "from" our child, and we want the presentation to reflect the limitless depth of her love.Fortunately, once repaired, the suncatcher absolutely lives up to the task. It's a good size and fairly heavy, with a faceted crystal roughly the size and shape of a golf ball. When the crystal catches the sunlight it throws gentle rainbows across the nearest wall or other surface, creating a magical atmosphere. The sentiment on the now-reattached bangle is simple yet powerful, sure to appeal to mothers across a broad spectrum of backgrounds and sensibilities. It's the kind of expression that I think will reach just about anyone and have just as much impact no matter where she's from or what sort of life she has led. At least, I really hope so.I do have some reservations about the hook that will be used to hang this up. It seems to be a narrow gauge for what it's meant to do, and I hope it will be able to support the weight of this beautiful keepsake. If the hook slips and this falls on a hard floor, it's going to be a problem. Personally I'd have been okay with paying a little extra for beefier hooks and hardware. The central wreath, bangle and faceted crystal are all spare-no-expense quality, and I feel the manufacturer could probably have done a little more to ensure they are well taken care of for years to come. This needs to be a "set it and forget it" item, where the recipient can confidently place it where she likes and simply behold it without having to worry about ring or hook failure. It's entirely possible I'm just being overly cautious, but these are my honest first impressions. Naturally you'll want to inspect the item for yourself to see if anything needs to be tightened up or fortified prior to gift-wrapping.At this point, the review may not even post in time for Mother's Day this year, but this gorgeous suncatcher isn't limited to only one specific occasion. It's appropriate for a birthday present, Christmas gift or even to hold on to for next Mother's Day if you want to tuck it away carefully in your present closet. The lovely gift box should keep it fairly safe until then.

I wanted to give this to my mom for mother's day but it requires a bit of elbow grease before it will be giftable. First, You need to replace the "gift box". The packaging is horrible. The prism comes inside a velvet like drawstring bag but that bag and everything else is jumbled up inside of an ugly brown bag then stuffed inside an cardboard box.When I removed everything to take my pictures and test the prism for rainbows, I realized the center engraved tag wasn't attached to the wreath. I also found the jump ring loose in the bag as well. The jump ring was bent but I was able to reattach the pieces using my jewelry pliers.As far as the quality of the pieces, its actually very nice. The wreath is a thicker metal and won't easily bend. I think the center tag is laser etched. I tried really hard to bend it with my fingers and ended up with a fully straight tag and sore fingers. If you are hanging this outside, you may want to use a more wind proof hook but for indoors it will be good. The prism itself is HUGE. I really didn't think it would be as big as it is. That also means its heavier, with the entire sun catcher weighing in at 5.6oz.The packaging needs work and the tag needs to be reattached so I wouldn't call this gift worthy straight out of the box. Just buy a nice gift box and take a few minutes to reattach the tag and you will be good to go.My rating scale:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars = Worth it. Definitely recommending this.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars = Good/Decent but there are 1 or 2 small issues. Not a deal breaker.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars = It's ok-ish. Not worth returning but I'll keep looking.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars = It's not ALL bad but I wouldn't buy it again. Probably returning.⭐️ 1 star = STAY AWAY. Major issues, poor quality, or different from the listing. Definitely returning.

Lovely gift, very nicely packaged in a beautiful box. Such great quality and very intricate details on the wreath and the writing on the plaque, absolutely beautiful. It does require some assembly and the small piece to connect it is inside the bag, I almost lost it! Many different occasions to choose from, all beautiful and at a great price. Highly recommend.

I sent this to my Mom for Mother's Day. She's out of state, so I don't see her enough and this was a thoughtful far away gift. She really loved it. I know she will think of me when it throws rainbows. The jump ring was attached. Everything looked nice. Great gift! I would buy this again!

I got this sun catcher for my mom for her birthday. She thinks it's very pretty, especially when the light hits the bottom stone just right. It's smaller than I had anticipated, but the perfect size for my mom to hang it above her kitchen table.While I do like this Sun catcher, I took away 2 stars because it arrived in many pieces. Two of the connecting jump hoops were completely bent and unfixable. Thankfully, I make jewelery from time to time and had spare jump ringss, so I was easily able to fix it. So buyer beware on this one, as quality control seems to be lacking.

This sun catcher is stunning! It feels nice and heavy, and is actually bigger than I thought! And, oh man, when the sun hits this thing it casts the most amazing rainbows all over! I tried to capture it in the photos, but a picture just can’t do it justice. It feels really well made and durable, and just feels very thoughtful. I love it! I want one for every room 😍
