I like to poke around in the water on the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan for cool rocks, and get ear infections easily from water. I prefer not to submerge my head in the lake, and sometimes it's hard to grab the exact rock I see from above the surface with just my hand. This sifter makes it much easier to grab the one I want! The metal mesh bends a little, but that's to be expected. However it held up REALLY well to jamming through stones over and over. Spent maybe 6-8 collective hours using it and it's still in great shape.

Loved that it held up to much use in heavy wet sand. Didn’t find any Spanish treasure, but many shells and fossils.

Worked great for finding shells in the sand at the beach. The metal portion is a little flimsy I had to keep reminding the kids to take it easy because it would bend/bow. Overall for the price well worth it.

I ordered three of these when we went to Florida and as soon as we’d stick them in the sand they’d bend and break. The sand was soft so these should have went into the sand easily but one you used them to scoop they broke. I had to throw all three away and I wasted my money. Definitely do not recommend.
