Ok. First of all, let me just say that I own a lot of cymbals. Lots and LOTS of cymbals. You might say my cymbal collection is an obsession. I have cymbals from Sabian, Meinl, Paiste, Zildjian, Istanbul, Scymtek...I could go on. Most of them B20 alloy although my Meinl's are Soundcasters which are B12. All of them are high end cymbals. I am VERY picky about cymbal sound. Which is why I had never found a Stagg cymbal that I liked. Several of the local drum shops carry them. And I have tried crashes from almost every series they make...SH...DH...Classic...Sensa...Myra. And while they were not horrible (and I have heard some horrible cymbals), they all had that trashy underwash and pingy overtone that I associate with cheap Asian made cymbals. Not a smooth and sweet sound at the finish...on the decay. Which is what I associate with a great sounding crash cymbal. So I had never bought a Stagg cymbal. That was until I heard THIS cymbal. I struck it once and bought it immediately on the spot. It was truly love at first crash. Now do not misunderstand me. This is most definitely NOT a cymbal for metal players. It is far to subtle for that. Nor is it the final word in china cymbals. But if you are looking for an accent/splash cymbal that has that little extra something, then look no further. You have found your cymbal. If you play jazz, blues and even rock this little china that could will deliver in spades. Really high volume stuff? No. But as a sharp and cutting little accent cymbal for low to medium volume playing, it has few peers at anywhere even close to it's price. And at 10 inches, it puts the mini in mini. :)

I've been looking for a China cymbal for many years but it's always too expensive. This is the cheapest one I could find and it is not disappointing. I haven't played it much so I cannot comment on its life, but the sound is exceptional, especially for a 10" China.

It's got a really crisp, trashy sound, but it doesn't cut too much. I haven't tested it with mics, but it's hardly audible over bigger cymbals. It's well worth the low price. It probably sounds amazing stacked with a splash.

There's not much to tell, bad material, bad made, bad sound....not worth it at all! Thinking of sending it back

I want to start off by reminding any buyers that this is a SPLASH Cymbal. If your looking for a china to resonate or to b loud for heavy metal play this is not the size you need. I would recommend the Brand and the name just a bigger size for those looking for a bigger sound. This is a very good china splash cymbal for that sound where you want to throw in a little mix or if you play metal for a quieter touch on a riff. It is very clear well made and you get a better sound than what you expect from it. Unless you have hopes a genuine professional sound or a larger more resonant cymbal, if that is the case you will be disappointed. This is a great cymbal and well worth the money other buyers that gave low ratings probably were just expecting a cymbal sound that cymbal was not meant for. The Price has gone up from when I purchased this cymbal, I got this cymbal for around 16 on a special year end deal expected it to be a very cheap sound but i was highly impressed. This is not the first time i have played Stagg Cymbals either I own two other Stagg Cymbals in my collection of 12 Cymbals as well as owning two professional grade cymbals that very expensive So I know good sound when I hear it.

What can I say other than you get what you pay for. I would say this cymbal is on the low end of things for sure.
