Last year I picked up an old fireplace insert to convert to a free standing wood heater in my shop. Having seen how quickly the vent pipe for wood heaters deteriorates and the distance I had to go to get through the roof, along with water issues, I fabricated some heavy gauge exhaust pipe to route through the floor upstairs and out through the wall. The idea was that I could also place fans behind the pipes both upstairs and downstairs giving me more heat throughout the shop than the rear blower alone. Just like all my other great ideas I had a lot more to learn. Draft.I had to increase the draft to pull the smoke through the pipes as I wasn't quite high enough with my pipes, wind direction toward the wall where my pipes exited, and, even though total volume through the pipes was great than a standard vent pipe it wasn't nearly as much as a chimney that the old insert was designed for.I made a box for the ends of my pipes and used a fan, just like this one, from a space heater that had bad elements to create a draft fan. The concept worked great but a fan/blower 50% longer would be better suited. This blower was the perfect choice! It works great. It is loud enough that I can hear it running when I flip the switch but not enough to be a bother. The air flow is great.I'm ready for next Winter and, if we get another cold spell here in the southeast I'm ready for that too.Great product.

This is a quiet powerhouse that got us up and running this past winter. We needed a new one as when turning it would squel and that got old fast. This one is so simple to install everyone can do it. Loosen screw (4) om the unit let fan hang take new fan and match each connection to the new unit. Reinstall and you'll be running smooth quiet on now time. Take note of the two pieces on the sides those click into the metal frame on your stove and push up to line screw holes. The unit itself shows some quality workmanship for years of service. The fan itself is metal not some flimsy plastic. The rubber grommet is secure and all ready greased up and it's plu and play installation make this an amazing time safe at a great price.Unit functions amazinglyFast shippingGreat priceAmazing quality

I picked up this stove fan with use with a 3 element infrared heater, which has no fan. The fan is loud but in a white noise kind of way. I sleep with it on because it blocks out noisy neighbor next door that proceeds to hammer on things past noise ordinance time. This fan functions as a veryy well heat distributor no matter what the heat is coming from. What a wonderful value for the money!

We picked this up to use with an older wood stove. It was a near perfect fit, we just had to make a minor adaptation but this was expected. We use the wood stove under cover but outside as a place to warm up when we have outdoor projects. The old blower was a decade dead, and we used the wood stove without it, but this really makes a difference - some of the air is diverted into the stove to make it burn hotter and that also makes it burn cleaner. It's doing just what we need and we're really happy with it.

I just wish it was quieter. I'm going to have to figure out some sort of sound dampener.

This is the second piece ordered for our Hearthstone pellet stove. The original blower was hardly putting out any heat, regardless of how much we vacuumed it out. It was time for a replacement. This piece was a perfect fit, and was definitely better made than the original one was. This one has metal attachments.Installing was simple, I just followed the installation process of the original, along with an online tutorial. One installed, it was easy to see that the problem was definitely the blower. The heat was warm, and the blower was silent. Was great to have the pellet stove back in heating action again.
