This has been the best spreader I have used, and I had the lesco. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better rotary spreader.

I was missing an axle bushing which is a critical part. It’s a very heavy duty spreader with stainless steel and poly parts perfect for commercial applications.

Did quite a bit of research before I was willing to spend the big bucks for this puppy, but everything I read made me believe it was a great piece of equipment. I'm an engineer, and I can tell you it is built very well and with quality construction. I also purchased the side shield/deflector, which though also expensive, was well worth it.I have about an acre to fertilize, and several large beds with borders, and several walkways. Got it all done way faster than with my old Scott's spreader. Also, my yard isn't level, so the large wheels and the excellent stability of the spreader made it easy to push and use. Without the side deflector, I would have lost quite a bit of fertilizer to flower beds, driveway, sidewalks, etc., so I highly recommend you get the deflector. Also, the cover is great and fits tightly, which on a windy day is very important. Overall, it's expensive, but a top quality spreader. As an engineer, I believe in getting the right tool, the best one for the job, and one that will last. The Spyker met all my expectations.

I have owned three different spreaders over the last four years (all of them Scotts). I finally said to my wife that I would like to go all in and buy a great spreader; one that I should never have to replace. That being said, I was in debate as to whether I should get a 50 lbs. or an 80 lbs., but since I was going all in, I decided to just go with the best. This spreader is the equivalent of going from driving a Geo Metro to a Corvette. Some might think, it is too expensive, and yeah, it is pretty pricey. However, I probably spent this in total over the last four years in other spreaders. It is an investment, and one that I am happy I made. For clarification, I am just a residential home owner. I am not in the lawncare business. Just a die hard lawn nazi.
