Original design and works well. Make sure to clean tank outside before you take the old pump out. Then when you take the old pump module of make sure the old connector seal does not fall of that has to go on the new pump or the connector will fit loose. Then clean inside of tank let dry. Put the lock ring on the new pump install pump with arrow pointing to arrow on the tank. put new pump in the tank. Module is spring loaded for tank expansion so push down hard till seal goes all the way in using hand to hold module down use the other hand to thread on the lock ring. Make sure arrows are aligned then tighten ring to spec with a torque wrench. Hook up the lines and plug with old plug seal. Install tank prime the pump 3-4 times key on off for 10 sec key on. And if your diag was correct it should start. GOOD LUCK.

Purchased for my 2002 Wrangler TJ rebuild project. Needless to say, as this was a rebuild, the pump wasn't installed and running in the vehicle until about six months after I purchased it. The vehicle was finally up and running in the summer of 2016. Now here we are a year and a half later and the internal check valve has failed. My discontent should be clear, as replacing this pump is no easy task with a full tank and some jack stands, not to mention the fact that the product that has only 5000 miles on it is no longer covered under warranty! Essentially, I purchased a pump that couldn't even stand up to a single year of daily driving. Thank god this wasn't my daily driver! Anyways, now I am over $300 dollars into fuel pumps for a car that should have only needed to cost $200, as they wouldn't replace this pump. Needless to say, I opted for the Bosch pump this time. PLEASE DO NOT BUY!!!

Install the pump for a few months and has had no issues. The install was easy and straight forward.Have read some reviews saying it reads up to 3/4 of a tank. This is because they didn't install it properly. There is an arrow on the top of the pump which had to point between the two lines on the tank, or the float will hit the side of the tank.

This fuel pump is a little taller than my stock 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ. I found out the hard way when I filled for the first time, had fuel spilling out of the top of the tank around the rubber seal. I don't fill the tank all the way anymore, I need to remove the tank to try and lower the fuel pump.

I had to replace old one. This one works great so far and was a great price. Simple to replace.

This unit arrived partially DOA when originally ordered and I had to get a replacement. The wiring inside for the pump was all cut and frayed. The fuel sending side worked however the pump did not, and it was blowing fuses. I promptly requested a replacement from Amazon and the second unit had a broken connector on the outside. Spectra please do whatever you can to ensure better quality control! The replacement unit is installed as of today and is working fine, I was able to salvage a minor piece from the original connector however this should not have been necessary. These units are Made in China.Lastly the reason I say better than Airtex, I purchased an Airtex a little over a year ago and the inside of the unit rusted out! The contacts for the fuel sending side were rusted and corroded so badly the gas gauge always read empty however the fuel pump portion worked like champ. Comparing the overall design of the two, Spectra wins.

It's a fuel pump it fits if it lasts 14 years like the original I will do a new rating and say I love it.

Would give 5 stars except the wiring isn't as tight as I would like. Pump works great, but my fuel meter would drop to E from anywhere when I hit a bump. I ended up taping it really tightly and haven't had any other issues in the last couple months.

The first pump came broken. The next pump came flawlessly. I installed it myself. It came with all the parts necessary to do the job right. months down the road and it still functions perfectly.
