I tried this over the weekend and had a really bad night of sleep with this. First, the opening is fairly big where it doesn't block that much light coming. While the rest of the tent does block out light really well, the mesh hole lets in all the light anyways so it defeats the purpose for using this at home on your bed. It'll probably work well for naps in a brightly lit office since you're facing down or to the side. Another issue I found is that I slept unnaturally in order to get my head fully inside the tent. Upon walking, I felt like I had a neck kink/strain.I think using an eye mask is better than this for most purposes other than taking a face down or sideways nap in an office environment. .
