Skunk2’s 64mm Pro Series Throttle Body is designed to be used with the OEM intake manifold for bolt-on horsepower and torque gains by maximizing engine airflow. Skunk2 throttle bodies undergo an extensive design and testing process to produce a throttle body that doesn't just provide more flow but retains smooth drivability and OEM throttle characteristics. Each Pro Series Throttle Body is designed using the latest CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) tools, which results in a unit that exceeds industry standards. Pro Series Throttle Bodies are also CNC machined from forged, billet 6061-T6 aluminum and hard anodized for durability in Skunk2’s signature finish. Pro Series Throttle Bodies are also compatible with OEM throttle cables, which simplifies installation. If you are here right now you are probably pondering the purchase of this here throttle body for your mazda miata, and I'd say go ahead and do it. I am currently building a 450hp 1.8 bp-ze and with the massive cost and amount of things required to achieve that, I sometimes look into better priced products. Considering limited options for throttle bodies and intake manifolds for miatas, skunk2 could seem like the most popular option, depending on who you ask. What I will say is the construction is of a high quality and includes everything you will need for installation, but beware of one major thing.If you are going to be putting this on a turbocharged miata, there are cases where the airflow over the wide open throttle plate will actually keep it open, which is no good. It becomes apparent why when you compare the spring winding on the oem throttle body to the spring winding on this TB. Its not quite as tight, and there's info all over the miata forums on the issue, and how to fix it.So to conclude, if you are handy enough to be installing this you are handy enough to correct the only major issue I have with it. And don't be stupid, pair it with their intake manifold.

You can see the box was visibly dented upon arrival. Actual part was scratched, but ok.
