While I really like this, I have to rate it two stars for the following issues:Inconsistent door sensors. If your door is prone to any sort of misalignment, the sensor will just not work. Unfortunately my door for the patio is very loose as so it jostles and sets off the sensor, leading me to have to remove it.Spotty Signal across the house. Unless the station is nearby, walls will dampen it and can lead to random disconnects. I double checked my wifi and it wasn't that. My best guess to this is the signal just isn't strong enough to get through several walls and past my kitchen.Easy to knock down camera. Sad to say, why I got this was to really deter porch pirates. One guy just walked up and yanked the camera down so uh, it's just GONE now.Not easy set up. It took me over an hour and I used to work in tech 3 years ago. It was a bit of a pain. If someone older and not tech savvy did this they might struggle a LOT.Overall, I think while its decent, it's not top for the price tag and other systems work better. The door sensors are the biggest selling point of this in my opinion, vrs outdoor or overall house security.

With optional SimpliSafe Active Guard Outdoor Protection, the Outdoor Camera can detect intruders and alert the security team, who can then respond accordingly. It's a comprehensive solution that provides top-notch security and peace of mind. I have been very pleased with this system. I have been a long time watcher of SimpliSafe and other home security systems, but had yet to pull the trigger on one. This little system offers a lot to those who do not have a large home that needs a lot of sensors. However, you are always able to add more to your system down the road. Setup was incredibly easy, the SimpliSafe app is very friendly and practically does everything for you. Connecting to my internet was also very easy and have had zero issues since initial setup. The camera is wonderful, offers lots of options but some of them are only available with a monthly subscription. You do not need a subscription to use the SimpliSafe system, but if you are out of town a lot or want more peace of mind, explore their subscription offers before purchasing. Since adding this system to my house, I have added more cameras, another keypad, smart door lock, and their Smoke/CO detectors. I am very pleased with this basic system and the SimpliSafe system, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy to use, easy to setup security system.

This six-piece SimpliSafe security system is absolutely outstanding, especially at such a reasonable price. Setup was quick and easy, connectivity has been seamless, and the picture quality is some of the best I’ve seen—crisp, clear, and reliable. Overall, the functionality is top-notch across nearly all areas.One important note: the system does not store recorded footage unless you have a subscription. While the subscription is not mandatory, it does feel almost essential if you need to review past activity. Without the ability to record, the system is limited to live monitoring only. To be fair, the manufacturer clearly states this upfront, so there are no surprises.That said, I’m still giving it five stars because the system delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re using it to monitor your yard or entry points in real time—such as your front porch, back door, or side gate—this is a fantastic option. It’s perfect for those who want to be alerted and view live activity as it happens.I haven’t looked into the subscription pricing yet, but given SimpliSafe’s reputation and the quality of this system, I expect it to be reasonable. Everyone has different needs, so I recommend reviewing your own usage goals to decide whether a subscription makes sense for you.

This is a great alarm system. It was super easy to set up. It works with my Smart home. The camera quality is excellent and it seems really simple to add on additional sensors or cameras. Motion detection seems to work well as well. I do like the option of paying monitoring if I choose.
