The screw portion of this product is only 3/16 inch long as opposed to the standard 3/8 inch (see pic). This makes the product virtually impossible to use. It's machined such that you cannot use the standard 3/8 inch screw. Also, both the screw and the post came packaged in the same bag. All screw post I've purchased in the past were segregated into two bags for convenience.

The metal is so soft that the screw stripped to easily to make it useful. I ended up having to buy stainless steel posts.

Not really as pictured... the threaded ends I received had shorter threads (1/3 less), while the post end that is flattened, is more flat than bulbous/rounded as shown in some pictures... I use these for a specific purpose and need the bulbous end as well as thread length so... might work for most other applications... just not mine.

Worked well for my application. I used them to attach binders to a presentation board. Using them allowed it to hang flush with the wall and not scratch the wall up.

I drill holes in the corners of an Altoids tin, and then screw four of these binder screws through the holes to form supports for a pan or can, with alcohol, or an Esbit cube underneath the can. These screws work very well for this. I suppose they would work well for holding stacks of papers together too, but I haven't used them for this intended use, so I'm not qualified to rate them for this. They seem to be pretty good quality, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
