The cost to ship it back was ridiculous so I kept it.

Well, I never even got a chance to plug it in. I heard rattling from the inside of the cabinet. Pulled the x-over plate off the back to look inside so I could try and see what was making the noise. As seen in the photo there's no magnet structure attached to the horn driver. It's clearly been broken off. Where did it go you might ask? Well it found a new home by attaching itself to the speaker magnet. NOT GOOD! Those of you who complained of the horn not working or sounding weak, need to look inside for a broken magnet assembly. No internal support brace on plastic horn = cheap. There's a reason this cabinet is inexpensive. The box showed no visible damage so it's anybody's guess why the horn broke. On the plus side the speakers do look decent and the cabinet has a full width shelf port in the bottom so it should sound good. At least on the outside looks nice but that pretty face hides what's inside. So... CHECK THAT CAB ON ARRIVAL!I did return this cab and asked for a replacement. I hope it arrives in one piece this time. If so I'll come back and update my review.**EDIT 10/12/21**So the replacement cabinet did arrive and it arrived all in one piece. So now let me give you a little bit of information about this cabinet. The cabinet looks very classy with black tolex covering and a black metal grill with silver logo. The design of the cabinet is what they call a shelf ported design. It has a space built in the bottom of the cabinet that is open and allows the speakers to produce sound from the front and back of the speaker. The sound from the back of the speakers travels against the back of the cabinet and then down and out through the shelf port in the front of the cabinet.I'm powering the cabinet with a 100 watt fender all tube dual showman head. The cabinet easily handles the hundred watt output of the head and sounds pretty good. At moderate to higher volumes I didn't notice any distortion or sounds coming from the speaker that would indicate that it was being overworked or overloaded It seems just fine. However keep in mind that ANY speaker can blow up if not used wisely. The horn is nice and crisp and provides a great amount of snap and is easily controlled via a volume knob on the cabinet back.Based on my over 50 years of playing bass I'd say this cabinet is a good deal for the price. The quality you'll receive is equal to any major brands budget or entry level line. In fact I've seen worse quality in major brand bass cabinets than in this cabinet.I can now recommend this cabinet. It certainly is priced right and delivers decent sound and quality for how much it costs. Just remember to look it over closely when it arrives.

I've only had this cabinet for a few days and , so far , I'm really pleased . I'm using a Behringer 300 watt bass head and will daisy chain this Seismic cab with a 2/12" Marshall cab when I need to . The Seismic cab , by itself , has nice , clean low end and nice articulation.....even with low B on my 5 string . I only gave it 3 stars for sturdiness because having just gotten it , I can't really speak to it's construction or how it will last.....time will tell . It looks as if the cab is made with 1/2" material....don't know if they used plywood or strand/particle board . In any case....so far , so good . It looks good with the Tolex covering too.......NOT carpet ! It sounds really good and you'd be hard pressed to find a comparable at this price . Keep in mind that this cab is no lightweight....I think it's listed here at 65 lbs. and after moving it around , that sure seems correct . Good bang for the buck !!!

I first tried these (I purchased two for a vertical stack) with my TCE BQ500 and thought everything sounded really week and unappealing. Turns out that amp is no good! I plugged in my trusty old Fender BXR300R head and BOOM! Sounds, tone, and clarity for days! One point I'll make is I can't hear ANY difference when adjust the horn. Possibly not working at all, but on both of them? Seems a little odd. To be honest though, I only ordered these instead of the lesser expensive "non-horned" 2x10 because of the tolex covering versus the carpet "rat fur". I was going to keep the horn all the way down either way.The horn issue, even though it really doesn't make a difference to me, is the only reason these get 4 instead of 5 stars. Quality control? Mass production? Whatever it is, don't let it waver you from purchasing these. I know for certain that Seismic has AMAZING customer service and will take care of any issue you may have.Stacked end on end, you get the best of all worlds: coupled well with the floor, punch from 10" drivers, AND add height to get the sound to your ears instead of your shins!!!!

I will put this cabinet up against any of the major brands. The sound is nice and tight handles that low B clear and clean. The cabinet is well constructed. No rattles. I got this cabinet the day after I ordered it. The customer service at Seismic Audio is second to none. I highly recommend their products and will buy again. Oh, and their prices are very affordable.

When I got it there was something rattling around. Sounds like a loose screw or a piece of plastic. I couldn't actually figure out how to open the cabinet (I didn't try too hard though), so I have yet to solve that problem. Luckily it doesn't buzz or rattle from the sound, only if I'm transporting it somewhere. It has great low end, good mids, decent highs. I've been running an 8 string guitar into a guitar head and then out to this cab. Everything sounds great except for solos in highest register. When you play on the high E string up near the 24th fret, the notes start to sound a little weak. It moves more than enough air for your average gigging situation, from small jazz clubs to warehouse hardcore shows. I'd tip it up vertically, and maybe put it on a stand or a chair if you're not being mic'd though. Overall I'd say it was worth the money. When something is as cheap as this thing was, even if it just sort of works it's probably worth it.
